  1. Absolutely, we need to rely on the experience of Toby,Maya and José to negate Chelsea's attacking threat, tbh it's not really a game to chuck McCarthy and Targett to the lions in. Hazard and Oscar will destroy them and leave them as quivering heaps of jelly. Let them play with 3 experience CBs at their side, give the lads a chance. If you'd seen what they did to Jenkinson and Cresswell yesterday no one would go for 4 at the back.
  2. NHS waiting list ?
  3. Of course we haven't, we just needed to take our chances against Arsenal and Utd and we'd have more points than we have actuellement and they'd have less. Not taking your chances when they arrive can't be "playing as well as we possibly can". Utd were shîte against us and against Arsenal, they should have lost both games, they put the rare chances that they had away in both cases and are 6 points better off than they really should be. On just that front there's plenty of room for improvement already, notably Pelle.
  4. We've lost against them once, we still have another shot at them, mostly at home this time, the key to the top 6 for us are the Arsenal and Spurs games, Still think we can do it myself but for that we'll be needing to have no more illusions about 'Cup Glory' and days out at Wembley.
  5. Ah there I don't know, Shaw for example strikes me as a bit of an epsilon when he opens his trap.
  6. Toby is the lynchpin of the system as sweeper, who plays as wingback depends on who you have available, in fact it's the ideal system if you're forced to play one or even two neophyte wing backs, takes away a lot of defensive responsibility from them. By the by we're playing 5-3-2 not 3-5-2, subtle difference.
  7. don't know why anyone would think that we'll change formation really, especially as we don't have Bertrand and perhaps not even Clyne. 5-3-2 with whoever isn't available replaced by the young players.
  8. There you go, the ultimate post match reaction I suppose.
  9. T'was a silly appointment in the first place, can't see what they possibly hoped to achieve with Warnock. Might fancy getting Sherwood before Brighton I suppose hence haste.
  10. And he should have told whoever arranges these things to knock off the shît weather, difficult day for keepers really, probably why Hart missed the cross for Albion's late goal and Toby got a free header. All that said I think we may well need to look at Victor's ability at corners when handing out the marking roles, he lost RvP a few weeks back and he lost Dann yesterday.
  11. In fact Mané is just what we need, watched them yesterday and Valencia had Ivanovic all over the place, true that West Ham couldn't capitalise on it but it's definitely exploitable. That said Mané in fact looked much better on the right yesterday than he has on the left. I think though that we may need to detail someone to take one for the team and kick Hazard up in the air in an effective but discreet manner the first time he touches the ball because well, he's going to take Targett or McCarthy apart. Think we might go for 5 at the back again, that would help us with our inexperienced full back problems perhaps. Might be Maya's last game for us for a while as well, think he has to go before the Arsenal game.
  12. We have had this discussion many times, it"s in the last 6 months for overseas clubs and after the end of the season for other UK clubs. Unless something has changed recently of course, got my doubts now, perhaps Irene could fill us in here, I mean she must know right ?
  13. L'Equipe say a lot of things on this subject..most of it seems unreliable. Kind of rare for them.
  14. Because the majority of them live in the past,or the future but rarely in the present. This season's side is judged in comparison to last season's but there it was just 10 so so players and Suarez, before him it was Torres and so on and so forth. Liverpool have generally been gifted with an exceptional striker, when they aren't you see their true nature.
  15. For some anyone with a job and some sort of basic education is "middle class". Guess that's what the Palace fan means, him obviously not having benefitted from said basic education because if he had he'd know the difference between their, there and they're...
  16. Came with the cheque for Morgan and Jay, tossed the cheque, kept the card I expect.
  17. What does BALR stand for...Basically a load of rubbish ?
  18. The solution is at hand, aren't we rumoured (yeah right) to be buying for a pittance some donkey from Pompey...look no further for a boo boy because a) he's got to be crap and b) he's from Skate's fair city.
  19. From reading this thread he sounds like a bit of a jamboree bag player.
  20. the answer is all there, better you are, less you huff and puff and less you are noticed. He was out best performer on Saturday.
  21. Ahh who knows, who knows. Perhaps the Yanks were testing their new laser canon and farked up, impressive piece of weaponry by all accounts. Extremely effective and at about a dollar a shot (not counting the billions on R+D of course) a handy piece of hardware.
  22. He was pretty handy, in fact if Liverpool had a striker they'd be quite a good side. On the other hand the Arse lead a charmed life at the back, Suarez would have scored about 10 this afty.
  23. I foresee a big upset...then again I don't like Arsenal much.
  24. Agent says he's going back to Italy anyway, maybe now maybe in June but definitely going..if the agent can get him a good deal of course.
  25. In fact they don't lose very often, trouble (for them anway) is that they don't win very often either. Pools banker for a draw usually.
