But the real question is this. Is he a 10.8 million £ pile of crap as you'd believe if you read the Mail, the Telegraph or RB Salzburgs site (they intitially wanted 20 million € apparently) or is he a 4 million £ hopeful in the same way that Mayuka was. 4 million... well what can you expect but 10,8 million is something different. If he really cost 4 million then haven't we been led up the garden path a bit on exactly how much we spent last summer. Perhaps Long didn't really cost 12 million either.. who knows what we made and what we spent really. Is that Swiss Ramble bloke still out there ?

Ah yes Wolves in about 2006 springs to mind. Trouble is Everton are a side stuffed with quality players and they are beginning to find their feet after a difficult start to the season. We can always hope for another Toffees off day though.
-
You seem remarkably well informed this morning Richard, in fact you're on fire, first the bombshell that Mané only cost 4 million £ instead of the 10 million that most accepted as the transfer fee and now that HR has might have serious technical fault and is unplayable in certain circumstances...could well believe you on both counts, Mané looks like a 4 million £ player and Reed, well I guess we might find out tomorrow.
-
Really? Then the club should make that known and dispel the urban myth that we paid over 10 million £s for him. A £10 million fee was accepted by Salzburg for the Senegal international and the deal was confirmed shortly after the transfer window closed at 11pm. From the Telegraph
-
Ronald says he had his specific reasons...so there, that certainly told us now didn't it.
-
I really don't why there's so much surprise over Mané, he doesn't really have the pedigree to be a star in the PL. Came from Metz"s academy when they were in the French 3 rd division semi pro league, then to Salzburg in the Austrian League which isn't famed for it's quality. We paid 10 million £ for him on what basis? because we were desperate probably. He may come good but it certainly won't be tomorrow or next Friday. We should have gone for someone with a bit of real league experience for 10 million £, how much did Palarse give us for Puncheon 1,75 million was it..

It's always net east of Dover, players don't care how much they cost, they care about what they get.
-
Can't do that, they'd probably win and then questions would be asked about transfer fees and bench hugging.
-
It should never, ever be forgotten that Steve De Ridder was a star in the Dutch league. The intensity of the PL is what does for them, it's 95 minutes effort every time, there are no easy games where you can slack off and let it slide a bit and nothing changes.
-
And probably above us come 10 to 5 on Saturday.
-
3 games before that though, guess we were just spacing them out by getting 3 suspensions on Tuesday.
-
Since he went there..really ? Think he has the title of injury prevention manager or something like that at Old Traff..obviously doing a great job then.
-
I didn't know that, they're all c^^nts on bikes to me

Interesting name for a beer really, especially a low alcohol effort, raddle means (in one sense) to tire or wear out. Alcohol raddled tramp...well you get the drift.
-
Barbie Can would be a better name for that crap.

Quicksilver Messenger Service.... and wait for it...Freddie Mercurial

What's up with Pelle then ?
-
Probably right, I always associate a straight red with a 3 game ban. Not sure that it's not different here on the Continent though.
-
Given the circumstances and the experience of our manager you could almost think that they did it expressly, OK they miss Everton but it leaves them in the clear for the end of year 3 matches in 6 days shift. Gardos is suspended 3 games.

He's got a squad to play 2 games a week, EL obligé. He always said he put out the best available side at Sunderland, few gave any credibility to that and I see he's referred back to it in his latest pre-match talk. Says that we (well I presume that he means us) did not respect the players he put out on that occasion, slagging them off, accusing them of not trying. It's taken him a while to get his message across there but as he's now shot of Adebayor for at least the forseeable future things may look up for them.

Perhaps having our head physio filched by Utd 2 months back isn't helping.

No hindsight in my case, said it was the thing to do before, not much time for midweek cups me. -
Those that can't see anything other than an Everton win.....

Injuries couldn't say but Barry served his one match last monday and I don't think they've anyone else suspended just now. -

Perhaps news of the suspensions hasn't worked it's way into the system yet. We should be favourites for this game really, their season hasn't been great but I just can't see past Toby,JWP in midfield and Lukaku roasting Maya at the back.
