Tbh he's not wrong though is he, we've played 4 potential top teams, lost to them all, Pelle hasn't scored for about 5 games now, Tadic doesn't score, Mané not much more, to boot we've now lost our 2 best players and a reserve CM. Still football is a funny old game and no match is a foregone conclusion.,

Then again so did Steve de Ridder and Emmanuel Mayuka, youtube clips and FM stats are not the basis for a good reputation, neither is the Roumanian League for that matter. He may well be a fine player but at this moment in time Yoshida is considered better adapted to our needs.

Who on earth would want to watch women's football tbh, like ballet on grass. It's on Eurosport often enough, don't think I've ever suceeded in watching an entire game.

Complex? Welsh Mountain Railway rather, one track, slow and dirty.

Like I ever went to them.....waste of valuable lab time.

Not really when you have tame investment companies owned by the same people as the club who bung you a 20 million sponsorship contract whenever you want. Do you really think that ETIHAD actually get any return from all the money that the dob City? I mean they obviously get a bit of publicity but how many air fares to the Middle East do you need to tote up 200 million a year or whatever it is. City and PSG are in the same boat, their owners just dob them money from subsidaries, UEFA inflicted toothless sanctions against them and it produced no effect, just spent even more money on players.

What and have people going on about not trying to win every game and harping on for ever about Sunderland in the FA Cup last season. We have overtaxed our quality players, probably not being aided by having an entire first team of internationals with endless international breaks and different training systems. We have a team,a very good one but we don't have a homogenous squad and probably never will have, never mind we've 40 or 50 million in the bank that we can harp on about from time to time. Trouble is money in the bank is useless when you can't afford (under FFP) to pay the players that you could buy with it.

Then again it may be that some view football as man's last sanctuary whilst readily inviting the company of women at all other times.
-
Tea and cakes with the Vicar, it's why they go to football apparently, never understood why women want to go to football myself or what self respecting bloke would want to take one actually. Then again I'm a bronze age dinosaur who adamantly believes that football is a man's game played by men for the titillation of other men, I blame school sex segregation myself. I have taken both of my wives to football exactly once,at their insistance really, one embarrassed me by producing a tea flask and the other spent the whole game complaining about the smoking, their experience was short lived.

Saints vs Sheffield Utd (A) Capital One Quarter Final
Window Cleaner replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
In fact it will probably go down in history as the biggest away folllowing that our reserves have ever had. -
but it's the same injury that put him out of the last France game, the only thing that might be shady about it is that we rushed him back, probably because he was overkeen.
-
Not sure that that sort of agreement wouldn't be against PL or FL rules actually, it would be akin to match fixing. Now when it's a loan player you can understand it but a contracted player deliberately being left out...nope don't think so. Doubt if he'll be sold in January, too much to play for still this season.
-
34 million € apparently, or if you believe L'Equipe anyway, works out at about the 28 million £ that Koeman said it would cost to buy him last summer. L'Equipe isn't known for it's 2+2=7 maths but a journalist is a journalist the world over.
-
Work it out for yourself http://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/dec/21/1 Remember the Echo saying he was better ranked than Nasri or Terry...yeah right.
-
Mind you with the way our front men are playing we'll be lucky to score zero. It took the other sides black box departments about 10 games to suss them out, good while it lasted though.
-
Nope 85th in the whole wide world, probably a poll conducted amongst Zambian 2 year olds after he scored in the ANC final.
-
I presume Mayuka is only still at the club because we can't find anyone stupid enough to take him off of our hands. We'd have done better to keep Gaston.
-
Didn't, he was "ill".
-
Same injury that forced him out of the last France game ?
-
Most of the time actually,
-
Or a Japanese tourist.....

Surely though if they aren't good enough they wouldn't be playing in England Unders sides all of the time, Koeman obviously didn't fancy giving Reed a chance although he's supposed to be the best player that's ever come out of our academy (isn't he?)
-
So it's up to the ST holders to bring in the new fans, not selling out for City seems to have hit them hard. Are there many tickets for Utd still available ?
-
Perhaps Hull wouldn't be totally unpleased to send him back to us, still a move I don't understand. Seville would have been much better for him. Perhaps he'll get more game time at Hull when (and if) Bruce gets sacked.
-
I thought it strange in the summer that he actually turned down Seville because he preferred to be eventually loaned out to Hull (that's what Seville said, he turned them down after everything was agreed), I mean what was that all about really, surely it can't be about money and Hull's European campaign was destined to be short lived.
