  1. Absolutely, 60 odd goals between them, gave Sterling a free ride and got about 15 penalties for Gerrard. Liverpool were a 2 man team last season, unfortunately for them neither is available to them this season.
  2. You just have to face facts, Liverpoool as it stands are distinctly average but last season they were average + Suarez. What Lucas has done to get himself exiled totally who knows, perhaps he ****ged Gerrard's wife or something, without him they are hopeless in midfield, at least he tackles and tracks back. As I've said all season Liverpool's problems come down to 2 things, lack of efficiency in front of goal and Gerrard, when they sort out those they'll be OK. Unfortunately it may take sacking Rodgers to change that.
  3. Will depend on exactly when Maya has to go to Japan for Asian Cup preparation I suppose. They start on the 12 th Jan, tournament starts on the 9th in Oz, probably 8th UK time then, if Japan want their players 2 weeks before say that's grosso modo the entire end of year programme without Maya really. The only real compensation is that all the other clubs with Australians and other Asian nationals will probably be in the same boat.
  4. Not to mention Dier who it must be said started the season fairly well but was absolutely atrocious at RB yesterday, even Chiriches was better and he's no right back. Didn't compete with Johnson at LB for Liverpool in the uselessness stakes though.
  5. I watched the game, they haven't changed the system really but as they don't have the players to operate it in it's entirety (or can't) then they do what they can with what they have. Total domination second half but then Hull were down to 10, not that Gaston had any great effect on the game anyway but it's a body less and they took off Ben Arfa to compensate I suppose. Spurs problem is defensive errors and losing the ball in midfield, Dembelé was total junk there and once he'd been replaced they got a whole lot better. Fortunately they have Erikson and he's getting them out of a few tricky situations. Lamela is getting better though.
  6. On the subject of Yoshida, do Japan participate in the Asian Cup which will take place in Australia in January next year? If so that would mean that we'll be down Mané and Yoshida for 4 to 6 weeks...not good .
  7. Ah the eternal beef of continental managers coming up to their first end of year PL campaign, players will get him through it OK.
  8. Wasn't Stoke fairly cheap tickets in school holidays though ?
  9. Why not, worked for Utd for years. Grind 'em down and count on Fergie time when they let their guard down. tbh though it was just a matter of time until they scored a winner today, total domination in the 2nd half.
  10. Easy really, when we dominate games we manage to score, other teams aren't doing just that. I mean look at the Arse today, total domination still lost, bit like us on occasions last qeason really. This time out we usually find a goal from somewhere and football is about scoring goals.
  11. think you're confusing your wooster with your winnie, not unsurprising, 2 individuals of self confessed lack of brain.
  12. not a bear of very little brain then.
  13. Depends just how Greek an Australo Greek is really. If he's Greek he's got a EU passport, if he isn't then he probably hasn't.
  14. What less well run than say Cardiff or Wrexham ???????????
  15. Morgan has pulled out of Tuesday's game with a thigh injury.
  16. No predictions but I'd be inclined to fancy our chances against Arsenal. Midweek sandwiched between potential maulings against West Brom and Stoke they'll be lucky to have a team to put out.
  17. Already my boy.
  18. co vice-captain with Lloris I think, Kaboul being captain this season. Not sure that Adebayor isn't out of contract in June next so they might not have too much difficulty in moving him out if that's what is desired.
  19. Overestimating how exactly, we are today at the 13th November, he's not playing at all just now, his contract runs out on 30th June 2016, ie in 19 months and a few days, he'll have to force his way back into the side even then so I don't think I'm really overestimating anything whatsoever. By the by Walcott is back in the England side because it's selected by a raging idiot.
  20. He will have 18 months left on his contract at best when he returns to anything like competitive condition, we shall see what happens.
  21. If he did he must have his reasons. Bigger challenge perhaps, weren't several of our recent signings Koeman choices...not that I mind that really.
  22. It's not my fault if some stupid erks paid over the top for average players and who are now regretting having done so. They should have listened to me  and handed me a handsome reward for saving them money really. I always said that at that moment in time Bertrand(no doubt amongst others) was as good a player as Shaw and that no-one in their right mind would pay 25 million or whatever it was for Lallana. They did, more fool them.
  23. Wenger was supposed to have been all over Morgan at the WC and then it all died a death suddenly when Ralph said his piece. I thought they'd thought better of it as Wenger tends to do when big bucks are required, preferring to try and get something out of Diaby once again (yeah right, he's played one game I think and is now out for yet another 3 months). Arsene is reputed as having long pockets and short arms and always looking out for something for nothing or as near to it as possible. Still I think they'll have a disasterous season this year and then we'll see.
  24. Indeed, but there are a lot of really good players who are potentially out of contract next summer, it all depends on what JRod does when he gets back into the game. I really don't think we'll get much more for him than we paid for Mané or Tadic or Pelle.
  25. With JRod in his current state and out of contract in not so long his value is in fact negligible. 10 million will be a good price for him at the moment, we may think that he's worth far more but prices are dictated by form and residual contract period and nothing else. JRod probably won't even be fully effective until January or Febuary, then he might not even get into the starting side, A year left and also ran status isn't going to get us much more than 10 million.
