Passes and deft flicks do have a tendancy to be less effective when defenders are of a better quality and position themselves better. We've recently lost to 3 top sides, they don't pay players small fortunes per week to be conned by just anybody. Our problem is goalscoring, perhaps that's because defenders and keepers are better as well. The other problem we have had these last 2 and a half games is composure in midfield, when you're in trouble as a rule you just slide the ball to Morgan who sorts it out whilst making it look as if he's done nothing because he plays in such a simple way.

Surely Swansea could overtake us by getting 4 points more and scoring a lot of goals, you know like whopping Hull 8-0 with us conceding a fair few. It's not likely of course but it is possible.

It was certainly a very poor goal to concede but that's how RvP gets half of his goals and I'm sure someone was detailed to stop him from doing just that. Substitution was silly though, especially sending on someone as green as that at a free kick.

Indeed but where you've aspirations to be a top side you need to be consistent and not start well and then fall away. We did it last season as well, I put that down to JRod's injury in the main though. We probably had more chances against Arsenal and Utd but didn't put them away in the same manner.

For me this is has been our biggest failing recently, we just do not put our chances away and then suffer the consequences when all those "world class" players get a sniff of goal. Looked at Stoke-Arsenal the other day and noted just how much more efficient Stoke were on that occasion.

We'll see on all of those at the end of the season, for me Tadic still has it all to do, nowhere near as good as Lallana yet.

If we can't score Utd will eventually grind us down and win in the end, it's what the new look Van Gaal Utd does.

Well no, women's football doesn't interest me, we've all probably scored nec plus ultra goals against Commercial Houses league sides in the SS Cup or something really. A goal can only be judged on the quality of the opposition. That's why so many erroneous opinions are formed from youtube clips, training ground goals are often spectacular as well but when there's 11 good players bent on stopping you scoring it's not the same.
