  1. Big day for the county today then, could be make or break day for the promotion campaign. We're in a really good position, need, what, another 160 or so and then give ourselves about 4 and a half sessions to get them out. As DM would say, what Hants don't want to do now is lose early wickets this morning. Surrey win, not totally guaranteed really, depends how many more Leicester get for the few wickets remaining to them.
  2. Morgan wants to play for Tottenham, but I think he wants to play for France more. As a neophyte international he's sort of on probation and really needs to get the nod for the 2 games early in September, for that he needs to be playing (or at least getting some game time) now, I'm sure DD told him that last week-end so he's reluctantly stepped back into line in this case. Probably still hoping for 1 last bid that Saints won't be inclined to refuse though I expect, if not well January is only about 15 games away with 3 (I think) rounds of international games between now and then..
  3. Good team, completely devoid of academy products though, which is a retrograde step for us and may not be permitted.
  4. Genius..perhaps not but they kept going and benefitted from West Ham running out of puff, and a few good saves from Lloris of course..
  5. Either that or he's gone for 2 weeks to Magaluf or Torremolinos..
  6. Wants to play for France in a couple of weeks time, that means playing for his club, whoever it may be.
  7. Dubbin or saddle soap no doubt.
  8. Isis being the Oxford Uni reserve crew ??
  9. Top defender...so it wasn't just Jos and Morgan then!!!!!
  10. Well they might be sci-fi buffs who knows. Waylander is a character from an 80's sci-fi novel by err David Gemmel (or similar) so he's likely to be a sci-fi buff as well.
  11. Bayern without most of their their world cup winners no doubt, and Ribery and the Dutch slap head. Not the same side at all, then again neither is Borussia no doubt. It's like the Charity Shield, The Arse without their germans and Citeh without their argentines, grade 2 game.
  12. Probably wouldn't get much pitch time with either club actually.
  13. Who knows, in his first interview at Inter the other day he said he found he could not adapt to English football at all.
  14. Dithering at the World Cup you mean, those that got knocked out in the first round got their exit pass, those that didn't have to stay because Krusty says so.
  15. Undisclosed being zero if ou take account of what was printed in the Echo last week.
  16. To each his exit strategy I suppose, Dani had to go to stage 3, being an knob...didn't work, hitting a Newcastle assistant coach...nope, nutting José..bingo.
  17. I'm not even sure where they are with their desire to acceed to the Euro system, sh*tty economy so probably none too close.
  18. Which incidentally neither country involved uses at the present time.
  19. Right so Brewster's Millions it is then.
  20. But there must be better than Van Dijk as well, seems that we have a strictly limited budget to be adhered to. Perhaps we're waiting for the arse end of the window when clubs drop their valuations for respectable players.
  21. although I'd have thought we could do better than Gardos really. Not seen much of him of course but players from the Romanian league do not really excite me.
  22. You'd think we could attract better players than either of them really wouldn't you.
  23. But at the end of the day you're only as good as your weakest link, make up your own mind whether that's KD,Gazzaniga,Jos or even Gallagher or Guly. That's why 7 teams finished above us, they didn't have weak players of that level or at least have to use them.
