  1. Aparently Marseille have been talking to his agent, don't know exactly when though. Seems like Saints are still talking to Celta Vigo about him as well. Goner.
  2. Not too quick, NZ need to assure that their RRR doesn't fall as low as to be accessible by Pakistan if they manage to inflict a severe thumping on Bangladesh on Friday...part of the plan :smug:.
  3. Bit of an England collapse today but they should be alright for the win. I can se Pakistan crying "fix" though.
  4. Didn't make lunch then, 104/9, Weatherly didn't bat, Alsop made the effort to come to the crease but Crane got out anyway. Just another shambles, nothing much else to add. We won't go down, we won't win the CC and I'd guess the players are more up for the T20 than anything else now.
  5. Well it's easy money isn't it, plus they'll be getting sacked soon so might as well go and extract the urite for a few weeks and claim pay and expenses for doing it. I mean let's face if we could all go and take the pyss down at Fratton for a while and get paid for it, we'd all do it right ?
  6. Well I expect it's because there were if you see what I mean. The girls don't take the ball behind their head as required by the laws of the game on many occasions. Then you have the cases like Parris who just let it slip out of her hands.
  7. Looking like we'll do well to make it through to lunch today. Rahane and Abbott gone already.
  8. Well, that's true of course, he'll be opening for England in the Ashes at that rate of improvement, so much the better for Hants, anywhere but here.
  9. So Hants set 418, which of course they have virtually no chance of getting, Abbott opened with Soames but of course Soames didn't survive for very long. Whoever is persisting with Soames instead of Donald just needs sacking, the sooner the better.
  10. Absolutely, it's just a shirt sponsor. No better or no worse than some iffy betting or foreign exchange outfit.
  11. I admire the confidence of the English girls in thinking that they can win but really if they avoid a hammering they'll have done well enough. Their game is too scholarly, too text-book to trouble over much the nearly real football game of the Yankesses.
  12. All out for 349, so 1 short of the 4th batting point then. Bowlers now getting hammered, well Crane in particular really, as Somerset look to set us a big target as soon as possible. Not over confident of not losing again.
  13. Hants fighting back a bit at tea, 246/5 I think. Rahane,Northeast and Rossouw made 200 between them, pity they aren't doing that from a platform of 50 or 60 without loss. Down to Fuller and Barker to try to get us up to 300 now.
  14. As long as it's not Tora Bora
  15. Right, I know that subs can't bat or bowl but wasn't sure if wicketkeeper was judged to be a specific role not to be filled by a sub.
  16. Well tbh making them bat again will be an achievement already, given our last batting performance.. Can we have a sub wicky or does it have to be one of the original XI?
  17. Will be a bit of a blow if he can't, even if it's just to hang around with one of the others. Chasing 400+, with Soames gone after 3 balls or so will be hard enough as it is.
  18. So then: England will probably need to beat New Zealand or have a rain off to qualify for the last 4. New Zealand will probably not want to lose too heavily because that would put them in danger if Pakistan get an easy win in their last game, but as it's against Bangladesh, that might not be all that easy.
  19. Well yes, they're under some sort of UEFA control. They've already shifted a couple and I think they've got potential buyers lined up for Thauvin, Ocampos and Sanson. Plus we'd probably give them a pretty good deal on Boufal, maybe even another loan..
  20. There's some talk about him going to Marseille on the internet press this morning. Probably just some wild speculation though, didn't read all of it yet.
  21. Well they've got off to a reasonable start against Hants today, 52/1. With our batting that starts at 3 and fnishes at 5 they might pick up a few points.
  22. Excellent start by England today , then again India seem to be bowling extremely badly.
  23. Looking fairly likely but who knows how England will fare against India...think it's tomorrow isn't it?
  24. I didn't see him getting fouled a lot yesterday, I saw him losing the ball though, perhaps there was a sly boot in somewhere that I didn't notice. His team mates did seem to be reluctant to give him the ball when he was in space though, seemed to always want to go the other side or boot it to Marega, probably because he's a bit of a newcomer.
  25. Must admit to having seen a fair few games. Quite looking forward to the Italy-Holland game tomorrow. Should be well animated, couple of psychos on each side along with some pretty skillful ladies.
