Theresa May and the death of the Tory Party
Window Cleaner replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Less votes than yesterday then. Little Weasel obviously got too pushy and some ditched him. -
Wow, that Italian number 13 was useful, a bit of a pyscho though. Not a bad game yesterday evening, apart from the ridiculous penalty of course. Seems now that with this new-fangled VAR you just need to run into an opponent in the box and bingo, spotty.

T'is true. World Cup is misleading. They should call it the British Empire (Former and Present Members) Cup.
-
260 on that wicket is poor.. That's why England made just shy of 400. You'll not win many WC matches with 260, and they might not even make that.
-
Just proving that there's no place for sides like Afghanistan in the final stages of a world cup. Need to have yet another sub-tournament before the final round robin stage, think they do that for some olympic events, basketball etc. 8 teams is quite enough.

Well according to Platini's lawyer there's nothing dodgy about anything at all, never has been, never will be and that he's just responding politely to requests for information and hasn't been placed under any judicial restraint. Mind you Platini probably pays him a shedload of money to say that.

I think there's also a question of a Picasso painiting that he might have been gifted for the 2018 WC in Russia. Hasn't been found yet though so they're trying to pin something on him fr the 2022 edition.. Don't know if they'll make anything stick though. It all leads back to Sarkozy and Qatar which is probably the prime target.

Ah but pulling and not driving this time. Bloke needs to watch hours and hours of Chris Smith videos if he really wants to be an opener. I'd say Bazza and Gordon but they weren't always that disciplined but they had talent that no coaching could ever instill.
-
Probably yes.
-
Ha, Kyle having a tonk, wouldn't it be great if we say make 97 or so for 8 or 9 and then it rains for 2 days.
-
Biggest question now is will we make 50. We probably need to complain about the pitch, no way that Harmer should be on 11/5 on the second day of a match. Jeez I hate Essex and everything it stands for.
-
Well what a forlorn hope that was, Alsop and Rahane gone already either side of lunch and we're 5/2 again. The county must adress the problem of openers if we're ever to be anything like consistent again. If it means that there's no money for an overseas player then so be it. Markram was great, Rahane looks feeble against fast bowling and the new ball. And now Northeast has been stupidly stumped by totally not paying attention. 16/4 now, Rossouw comes in, hits four and then gets out next ball, do we have some sort of problem that is provoking our players into wanting to lose? That's it, Donald out to another, stupid, stupid shot. We'll not even make them bat again as likely as not. When's the next game ?
-
Why would anyone want to waste a million £ on him when they know full wel that he'll be available for free in a year or so and that we'll loan him out to whomsoever asks first?
-
Not all of them though. In last night's game one of the Americans' goals came from a corner that wasn't. The ball was put out of play by an American but a corner was awarded anyway. As the Chileans couldn't defend against centres for toffee it was a gift goal.
-
Well well, some seemingly excellent bowling by Hants pace men, aided apparently by a ball change, has limited the Essex FIL to 96. Now we need some really stubborn batting from our openers, need to see them both there at the close, although it's not likely to happen.
-
So, Essex now 6 down for 199, of which 5 are leg befores. Edit, make that 6 out of 7.
-
The same problem or one each ?
-
Ah but do they always annoy you. I mean today I'm hacked off about Hampshire's batting and Clermont's fly half but those are things that change all of the time.
-
Vince isn't really the answer opening in 4 day cricket. Far too impatient, if he gets bogged down he'll always try to drive one through the covers that he shouldn't.
-
Doubt it. The USA girls are by far the best side in the tournament. Their game even approaches real football at times. Mind you that's probably normal, they've all probably been through their collegiate system just to play football and get some sort of social sciences degree.
-
Another batting fiasco at Chelmsford again yesterday then. Why is it always at Chelmsford, seems to be virtually every season. Now Bopara will make about 350 and we'll lose by an innings. Obviously we haven't addressed to problem of openers again and whilst we persevere with these young chaps, who are hit and miss, the real batsmen at 3 and 4 will be exposed to the new ball on virtually every occasion.
-
But yes, you know very well that for every summer tranfer window we have to buy at least one player who is totally crap. Might as well go for some cheap rubbish from Jockland than waste some serious money as we did with Boufal (who's not crap, just totally inapt for English Football both physically and mentally).

Don't know where you got missile from. You can control a drone to do whatever you want, deliver Amazon packages for instance. Anyway the truth will come to light soon, the Gulf of Oman and Straights of Hormuz are under surveillance 24/24 365 by at least 8 nations. Someone knows exactly what happened and will let us know if it suits them.
-
Deniability? Getting a "false flag" limpet mine shouldn't be any too difficult; Getting a false flag drone launched missile wouldn't be so obvious. There are always bits left behind you know, bits that are identifiable quite easily down to the day and point manufacture
-
Perhaps a mine attached by a drone, would be theoretically possible I think.
