Probably just another happy clap fest. He's probably holding out for some serious squad improvement, certainly if there are outgoings. Managers do do this, Remi Garde has just quit on Lyon because he was just fed up with having to try to make silk purses out of sows ears. That's a club who sell anything that's saleable and try to fill the gaps with their "academy".
-
I think it's got something to do with the dogs dinner that masquerades as their defence. Lloris has formally complained to the Chairman about it apparently. Other than that he had to make the CL, we all know that if you don't at Tottenham you get sacked.
-
Mauricio has come in again these last few daysin the betting whilst De Boer has gone out.
-
Yes he is, won't cost anywhere near 37 million £ though. 7 million perhaps. He's a brick crapper like Wanyama.

This is because I am now conditioned to French football economics where the DCNG has the power to relegate you if you don't get the columns in your in/out ledger balanced correctly. They let clubs go to the wall like Le Mans, plenty have been hit with recruitment bans, fines. If you want great facilities you have to be able to ppay for them and as I don't really believe that our owner is in fact a billionaire then I see problems up ahead.

Band of Shysters.....they should all be locked up now, instead they're all out there doing it all over again. If you or I ran a business and didn't pay our VAT we'd be in sh*t street, PFC not so much, probably because some idiot in a government department considers ongoing football on Portsea Island to be therapeutic for the mentally and socially challenged. We've one in France like that,Justice Minister, doesn't agree with locking up criminals, it's more therapeutic for them to be allowed to roam the streets and start offending all over again.
-
In fact what they might consider doing is putting Fergie out to grass, he's had his time with his band of players but now they need to turn the page on him and all that went with him. Appointing Giggs and Neville etc to get under the new manager's feet was just a Fergie control mechanism as was appointing a Scot from a very similar background. They need a new broom, a new bucket and new dusters.

Not good enough and an abrasive character. Not really worth a place in a group of 23 blokes living together for 5 or 6 weeks.
-
Even then you can't compete unless you can get the best raw material in the first place. We produce wing backs, we've still to produce a viable top flight CB or keeper, or striker or CM. In fact of our best XI (I rate Clyne over Chambers) only Lallana and Shaw are academy products, all the rest are bought in. Our academy system works on occasions but we produce more players for Swindon,Brentford and Yeovil than we do for our first team. I'm really sorry but from what I've seen of Gallagher he won't make a PL striker in a thousand years, now the kiddy from Utd the other day, 2 chances 2 goals, that's a top flight youngster.

It seems to me that Mauricio doesn't want our CMs to run with the ball, he wants players who can tackle (or intercept) the ball and then have the ability to drop in on a tanner 50 yards away in a nanosecond. We have front men to run with the ball, wingbacks as well. Can Cork do that, I don't remember him being an ace at accurate instantaneous passing but that could be because I've not paid enough attention to him in the 40 odd matches I've seen this season. The other thing is that although they're all right footers only Morgan looks in any way comfortable on the left side, he's also a hell of a lot faster than the other 2.

Ah yes, for someone wanting to buy a nearly there club but with a state of the art training ground, but it has to be paid for as of yet and we don't have that much swanning about in cash I presume. Hopefully we've got some sort of long term mortgage or loan on it though and don't have to pay for it out of current disposable cash. At the end of the day it is costing too much for a club of our size. SMS dragged the old setup down, I sincerely hope that this latest princely dream won't drag the new one down.

Diego Costa is signing for Chelsea for 32 million £ (or is it €) Puts the ridiculous sums being bandied about by Southampton supporters for Lallana and Shaw into focus really. Costa is just 25 . Lallana is probably worth about 20 million £, it's just the 25% owed to Bournemoutrh that makes that figure unacceptable to us, we'd be left with far less than 15 million to get a replacement. You could go for blokes like Aaron Hunt but he apparently has better offers with clubs qualified for the CL which is what it's all about for top top players.

I run in them, never had any complaints whatsoever, ever at 150+ K a week (only on 80 odd now though) Always had Nikes since the first Internationalists. They are not snide trainers to people who run in them. Then again I buy real shoes, Spans 1 to 8, Triax, Zoom Elites, Zoom Racers, Lunarglides 1 to 5. Never tried Air Maxs or anything that are only any good for going to the shops in.
-
Which means that if the club is ever sold they take at least that back and probably more.
-
But it has never been formally established the Markus Liebherr had 3 million anythings (well probably Nigerian Nagwes or siimilar) It is a figure bandied about in the void, it doesn't appear in Forbes or any other major "rich list". The what I call main Liebherr family possesses about 3 billion dollars according to Forbes but the late Markus is just an unknown. All I know it that his little enterprises have all been wound up and Mail International Holdings AG is now run by an Austrian and another Swiss. However if you want to actually share a link to the "financial data" with me and not just a baseless fag packet calculation of how much he would have had if he hadn't given his shares back to the others of the family then I might be reconciled to the populist figures bandied about.
-
They have a clue or haven't a clue, makes all the difference really.
-
Could be but Tottenham really need a proven entity for their next PL campaign and not a manager with L plates. FdB's problem is that he's never managed outside Holland with their rough and tumble football and a 2 horse league. Levy just cannot afford another failure. That's probably why Mauricio is now odds on with some bookies whereas FdB was in that position only 2 or 3 days back. Tottenham need a major rebuild, preferably with a few of the players they already have and MP must be favourite tro do that over the relatively insular De Boer.
-
In fact it will be a massive job, all the pressure will be on them not to have a disastrous season like this one again. I don't know enough about Van Gaal to make any sort of judgement on him but EPL football is so different to all others that it's an art form for managers. So many "big names" have failed in the PL, some several times.
-
I worked out the annual interest on 3 billion sterling the other day, even on 10 year gilts or similar it exceeds 80 million £/annum. I am pretty certain that our owner has nowhere near the funds popularly attributed to her.
-
Anyway 14/1 was the figure yesterday, I compared it to the odds of 400/1 of winning the PL in another thread. We're 8th favourites to win the title and 8th favourites not to go down.

The family loan exceeds by far 30 million and it is mainly converted into equity. The problem is the major overun on the training ground. Wasn't it 30 million instead of 15 million, that's a major liability because it's not really an asset. Not much call for second hand training ground complexes in Marchwood...one careful owner.
-
It is absolutely impossible that the owner had no knowledge of the companies finances unless she was in some way excluded from the fiscal circuit for a while. They were converting owners loans into equity, providing finance on a constant basis as well. Then there was NC threatening to wander off last summer over "backing". Must have given some sort of figures to his claims surely. It is all so opaque and murky that one really doesn't know about the owner (or owners) at all. I just suspect that the owner is getting generally worried about the level of liabilty and future investment required exceeeding her means.

Morgan Called Up for France WC Squad (Official)
Window Cleaner replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
That will be a real surprise, I'm not even sure that he'll make the 30. DD is such a complex entity. I have no idea whether we're going 23+7 or 30 to start with though -
What star players have Everton sold then? Rodwell and Fellaini.....daylight robbery, whoever flogged them should be given the freedom of Sefton Park or whatever. Real Madrid is a magnet for top players, the nec plus ultra of football clubs.
-
most of them are never quoted at all, it's just round numbers bandied about by fans and journalists. But VAT is definitely payable on transfers of footballers.
