Indeed, have any club ever succeded in holding a manager to his contract, it's not the same as for players. The club does not hold their registration, managers can resign, isn't that what we wanted Adkins to do at first.

I'd still like to think he'll stay but that if he doesn't it would only be because the ambition that he was sold 18 months back no longer exists.

Why do we need to sell players to raise funds. We had over 100 million £ in revenue last season. Selling those who are useless to us will be quite enough, anyone would think the owner needs to take money out of the club and as many of you have assured me that that is not the case there's no reason to sell players is there.

Agents can talk to whoever they like about hypothetical positions of managers and players. The manager never speaks to the club involved until he's given permission to do so. The agent does all the spade work for him based on the hypothesis that he would eventually be prepared to accept certain conditions.
