How are we ever going to become the Green Bay Packers of football with people venting guff like that, you'll be getting a summons from Uncle Ralph because you're obviously not a team player.
-
because he wants to be upwardly mobile, same as most other young men. He'll win nothing with Saints unfortunately..well apart from the JPT that is. Perhaps Gareth has given him a call and told him how it is in megastar, megabucks galacticos land. Perhaps he even believed the Champions League hype eh.

So what someone is trying to tell me here, unless I've calculated wrongly, is that the bog standard Adidas kits that we had last season need more than 4 months lead time is that right ? This is just a we're going for the cheap and cheerful home made but we're telling you that we're going back to a known manufacturer next season so that you won't think we're cheapskate corner cutters. It's Rupert Lowe all over again.
-
I think she's sitting down actually, probably has to to not make NC look so vertically challenged.
-
Zaha cost 10 million, he'd probably be wowing them at Old Traff if he hadn't been caught sh*gging Moyes daughter.
-
Indeed, I just don't think they'll go much higher actually. Not for Lallana. He's best off with us. Thought that was what I said.
-
About 20 million £ I think ?? He's not worth any more than that seriously. Not when you can buy 2 Coutinhos for that price.
-
No I'm just not a very big Lallana fan, he's an alright player but to me nothing very exceptional. Shaw I'd certainly take what's on offer. Seriously he isn't worth what they're said to be offering. We need to cash in now or we'll regret it later. I must be the only one, then again I've had a few lessons at the J-M Aulas scool of football economics.
-
Man Utd had a very foolish manager who was obsessed with a lucky charm player. In fact Fellaini is just the illustration needed to show that a player who looks good in one system might not be in another. Lallana is not worth more than Liverpool are offering. A player might look brilliant because what's about him allows him to. Take Schneiderlin away from Saints and you'll see some very different performances from some players.
-
The fair price with what's owing to bournemouth will leave us on the iffy side of the ledger. For what his worth really we'll be left with less than 15 million so we might as well keep the bloke if Liverpool (or anyone else) won't really push the boat out. Shaw I really really want to sell, we can get as good for a quarter of the ridiculous sum being bandied about. At his age inconsistency is as predictable as gravity. Little scrubber gives him the heave, he'll be off his game for weeks.
-
Lallana is not worth 35 million, he's probably worth the 20 or so million that they been offering. Do not forget they paid 23 million for Suarez, 8 million for Coutinho.....if they can't get Lallana for the price they want they'll look elsewhere.
-
I still get the feeling that he doesn't want to go anywhere, just doesn't want to be relying on Harrison Reed, Sam Gallagher and JWP next season. He's been there and done that, not to his advantage.
-
And Ajax are going to let De Boer leave for free....I really, really doubt that. If they want a decent manager they'll have to pay, 2million £ is chicken feed to them. Monaco have just paid 5 million, euros for Leonardo Jardim....2 million is cheap for a decent manager. Do not forget that even back in 2001 Spurs had to give us over a million for Hoddle and to think that the clown Burley brought us nigh on half a million from the Scottish FA ...................

Premier League Broadcast and Merit Payments for 2013/14
Window Cleaner replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Because it's Aston Villa, an age old club with a massive following amongst the illiterate of Birmingham and it's suburbs. They have seriously underachieved, probably because their manager doesn't know what he's doing. -
Well then he's a softy, Deschamps doesn't even tolerate phone calls to agents.Considers it as not being totally involved in the "vie de group"..ask Samir Nasri..

If Mauricio should leave you need to rush out and plonk your tenner on Uwe Rosler.
-
I have no idea, clubs can tap up a new manager without any reference to the incumbent so I doubt that would make any difference. Sherwood's brief was clear: CL or you're out so there would be no problem speaking with other managers. FdB said they did, DL said they didn't. Probably just confusion of who is acting for whom at the end of the day. Not even convinced that Mauricio is that keen on Spurs, he just doesn't want to find himself in crap street again with a bunch of academy rookies and the fans expecting him to maintain our status from this season. If he gets reasonable support from the board I think he'll still be here come August...Therein lies the question, how much is reasonable.
-
In fact in the early days some media outlets passed off pictures of Mrs Cortese as being KL, far more flattering to boot. Think this was said to be KL in the Echo.
-
Exactly ML and NC both said we didn't do debt...but we did and still do. I remember getting lambasted a couple of years back for saying that we had debt... As I said in another thread the charges on the club are now appproaching the market value of the club. It's all very well owning a Bentley but if you want to get shot of it then you'd best not be in Equatorial Guinea or something. Objects are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them at the time. Villa is going for about 180 million and has no doubt far more earnings potential than SFC.
-
Levy said that they had no contact with De Boer, perhaps Tommac has been masquerading as D Levy.
-
It will cost them 2 million £, it would end there. Any manager they hire will get a salary and bring his salaried staff. When you think that Jardim has just cost Monaco in excess of 4 million £ and he's not even a top name then 2 million for MP is a snip. The great advantage to Spurs is that he just might be able to get something out of Lamela and Soldado with his style of play, losing any positive contribution from those 2 is going to cost them much more. I can see why he's attractive to them, his style might just make something of their 60 million £ investment plus whatever they've taken in salaries this year for a very limited contribution.
-
As far as I've seen there's nothing to say he isn't intending to honour his present contract, just doesn't seem to be falling over himself to sign a new one. Makes sense, no point in tying himself to the club if he's really unsure where it's going in years to come. Wenger let his contract run down to it's very end, he's staying with Arsenal all the same, Moyes hyad a 6 year contract and was sacked after just less than a year. We need to get our ducks in a row,if it hasn't been done already, and convince the manager that what will be available to him next season and those after that will allow him to reach 6th place next season and so on. I've no real anxiety about Lallana and Shaw being sold either, if it stops there and the replacements for them are of a decent quality and there's still some money left from those transfers for a real striker, a CB and a keeper. If all that comes to pass I shall be pleased, I've no great attachment to either Lallana or Shaw, good players, loyal servants but there are equally good players available.
-
I wouldn't take either, we can get younger players for far less than those 2 old hacks. They won't take 10 bob a week you know,if some deluded club asks them nicely they might agree to 70K a week but certainly not less. They can easily get that in the old footballers graveyard that is MLS.

Probably running out of disposable money:uhoh:
