Now where did you get that idea ? All I've said is that Clermont Foot despite their L2 status isn't much of a club as clubs go. This lady won't be managing anything, just coaching the team, coaches manage nothing in France outside playing affairs. Now if Eastleigh appointed a woman coach, would that raise a great debate because CF 63 are certainly at about that level. The club has no money and very few fans, they probably just looked for novelty value or something that brings them a bigger government handout.

Makes me think of the response of Mr Bennet towards the end of P&P, just after Lizzie's engagement actually.

Walker out of World Cup, room for Clyne?
Window Cleaner replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
doesn't he play principally on the left side though? Not that it would be an obstacle to getting another Liverpool player into the England side I suppose. On the subject of RBs, I read today ( came from a crappy paper I expect) that we're in the hunt for Trippier, now I'd think that RB was one position where we don't need any reinforcements just now. -
Then again any player asking for a transfer would have to put in a formal request anyway I'd think. It's not just a thing you do off the cuff because so much depends on it. All we can assume so far is that no player has put in a formal written request, doesn't mean that agents aren't still beavering away behind the scenes.
-
Strangely strange though, most people in UK football would know Reed and he's supposed to be responsable for transfers so why would anyone call Krueger who they probably wouldn't know from Adam. Might think he's an easier touch I suppose, promise him a couple of draft picks for Lallana or Shaw.
-
No player who might be the subject of a big fee'd transfer is going to ask to leave, they'd forfeit their cut.
-
before they actually get to make an offer I hope then, if not Uncle Les either isn't in the know or has been economical with the truth.
-
No there aren't any offers, Uncle Les keeps telling me so :smug::smug:

L2 isn't much above conference level really, in fact it's pretty awful. L1 isn't great in it's lower regions either. French football is a bit of a lame duck, great players, poor teams due to the savage fiscality of France which is necessary to pay for all the Mitterandian handouts.
-
Ah but it's Clermont Foot. Clermont is a rugby city, football is of a very minor importance there so they could hire a gran from a retirement home to coach the team and no-one would give a toss. The average attendance at Montpied is about 3500, about 250000 people live in the catchment area and ASM Rugby get 21000 for every game and could get more if there were any more room at Marcel Michelin. It's innovative, perhaps they're trying to get more female supporters but in the great order of things it just doesn't matter.

I have no idea what his intentions are, according to L'Equipe and the Riviera Coast Press FdB is Monaco's number one choice given that Ranieri has been told that he's being removed from office at the end of the season. Monaco has it's advantages you know so that may well attract him but they certainly won't be looking at out of work Italians.

Without reflecting too much on the base of the discussion I can tell you that the military don't usually feel the necessity to comment or make available information that they think that they might just as well keep to themselves. That's what creates such a shockwave when you get loose cannons like Snowden and the little knob now calling himself Chelsea Manning. I put in a good few years at S.H.A.P.E and have never felt obliged to share anything that went on there.
-
Nope that's not right. FdB is top of the list and it probably won't go any further than that unless he gets Barca. They wouldn't give Ranieri the shove for any of the 3 you quote, probably just an Italian rag overestimating the capacities of their homies.
-
FdB is also favourite for the soon to be vacant job at Monaco, won't go to Spurs if he can get Monaco. Everyone touting him for the Spurs job seems to be completely ignorant of this.
-
If I remember the post correctly it contained the words "important players" or words of that ilk.
-
And does it say exactly why Wanyama is hoping to leave us for West Ham ? Osvaldo did say he was hopiing to stay at the Juve but that he wasn't sure how that was going to turn out because his time there hasn't gone all that well.
-
Valencia doubles well enough at right back actually, not unusual at all. Even Sir Alex used him there on occasions.
-
Let West Ham have him so the we can get Winston Reid.

Up to 60 million euros, but not to increase total salarial CL mass in any way whatsoever. If he's on 200K a week then they have to shed 200K a week within their 21/25 man CL nominated group. It's apparently what they've negociated with UEFA.
-
Or it could be the 60 million € fines and transfers restricted to one star player but no-one else and reduced salary mass. That's what they're predicting for PSG around this way. Plus the 21 players for the CL instead of 25 of course.
-
I like the idea, it's what happens nigh on everywhere else. Also spares me having to watch players with L plates in the first team, which as you all know by now I dislike intensely.
-
Not to mention Alan Ball and many many others.
-
I didn't consign him to the scrap heap, I said that in hius current state he is detrimental to the quality of the first team. He should be in the U21s or whatever they call it where he belongs and a respectable striker should have been signed in January to replace Osvaldo.

Sunderland fielded ineligible player against us at SMS
Window Cleaner replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
Anyway with the way Sunderland are playing even them getting docked a couple of points (not that that will happen) will make no difference whatsoever. They've earned their survival, those who would moan about an ineligible player should have tried to do the same. -
Probably a few like Battle of Britain pilots, few meaning relatively low percentage of the total number I expect. If there were say 3000 then 41 is a few.
