They're already all on long term deals, 3 years left at least 4 in some cases. The maximum length of contract is 5 years so there's no point in really tarting about to add 1 more year. The way to keep these core players is to persuade them that they'll be going forward with the club and that next season we'll be aiming for top 6, that means keeping Mauricio and adding decent players to the squad. Morgan spelt it out for us in the Echo 2 weeks back, it's what needs to happen and it no doubt will.
-
Morgan isn't likely to miss, he is out with a really bad dead leg, given that he's already had serious problems with that sort of injury a couple of years ago (and remember the effect of a Guly lunge on Gaston) we might not see him again this season. Then again he's healed up pretty quickly of late so perhaps next week or at least for the Utd game. However given the number of players that actually remain available to us I really can't see any possibility of not starting Cork and Wanyama, perhaps not in their usual roles though. Of the first team core group we have about 15 players available I think so the rest of the bench will be neophytes. If we should be so unfortunate as to get a couple of knocks the side on the pitch will be innovative to say the least.
-
Then again to be really specific he'd have to define the period in which there have been no enquiries or offers. I'm sure that we must have had at least 1 offer or enquiry in January.

I am still not sure whether a player's agent can discuss a hypothetical move for that player to a club without having first cleared the possibility of that move with the actually club. You know like "if he wanted to move and his club were to be persuaded on it how much would you be willing to pay" sort of thing. Agents work in the periphery, maybe even with their client's specific knowledge.

In fact a double deal could be just the way to cut down radically on Bournemouth's share. 50 million for Shaw and 5 million for Lallana. Doubt if Bournemouth would be happy though, probably appeal.

Got about 10 minutes again yesterday evening, didn't do much. Then again I thought Juventus were pretty poor on the whole as well. They are so slow and easily controlled. Then again I'm really not a big fan of Italian football.

JRod weighs heavily on opposition defences, forces them into mistakes.
-
It also defined Reed's current role, don't think that we'd had confirmation along those lines before.
-
I'm sure he isn't. Mauricio said something about him at last week's pre-match, pretty sure it was something like doubtful for the rest of the season.

Pochettino press conference to start soon
Window Cleaner replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Probably didn't want a repeat performance of recent pressers with the same old candidates obstinating on the same old questions. Far too many "done deal" rumours circulating recently which, exactly as I said yesterday, are totally contrary to recent club statements. -
According to L'Equipe Morgan has a dead leg, no doubt suffered in training yesterday or the day before. Strange that they had the info and were putting it about at 10.13 Paris time last night. That will be the 3rd Everton match out of 4 that he's missed, coincidence eh......

Baseball was all about steroids and HGH I think, the more muscle you have the harder you can hit the ball...in theory at least. I think in the case of the "major English club" it was more about recreational drugs used by officials. Juventus FC had a major performance enhacing drug system in the 90s but as the drugs weren't on the banned list for football at that time only the administering doctor got any punishment.

Who exactly would be stupid enough to bet on Lallana going to PSG ? Honestly do they ever think before compliling these lists. Strange that he's 6/4 for Liverpool though, isn't he an Everton fan really ? What on earth would Liverpool want with Lallana ?
-
Absolutely, this year's income will probably be around 90 million, unless the owner needs (or wants) to start taking money out of the club then I really can't see what our problem is. 2012/13 salarial mass was 47.1 million for everybody, we've added 3 players since then and sold Puncheon for 1.75 million,Forren for about the same and loaned out Fox,Sharp,Martin,Mayuka,Barnard etc and Cortese who was paid 1.96 million has gone about half-way through the financial year. At most our total salarial mass for the year 2013/14 will be about 55 million so I just cannot see the problem.

What debt, what is this debt, we owe a few transfer fees, surely the PL handout will cover that, what's the rest of this debt ????
-
We don't know that, although he has said this week that we need new players for the squad and as everything that's worth anything from the academy has already been drafted in I guess that means buying or at least signing players. Don't even mind if we don't "spend big". We need to keep what we have, get shot of the crap, Osvaldo,Gaston,Mayuka etc and invest the resulting funds in 3 or 4 players of quality. If we could get say 20 million for those 3 we'd have nearly enough for 3 Lovrens, makes you think doesn't it.
-
We do create chances, we just miss them that's all. Lambert,Lallana and Davis all had chances last week, all of them failed to convert on that occasion. It's a recurring factor of our season, we dominate and create but don't convert.
-
Probably because he couldn't see the necessity for corner shop economics.
-
which have as of yet not been explained to me, as I've said before if the owner is not capable of serious investment then she should sell us to someone who is. All clubs owe transfer fees because they're not yet due, we'll get a good whack from the PL this season and should make a profit, so we pay our oustanding transfer fees and contract some new ones. It's the way football works, perhaps someone should tell that to the German lawyer and the Ice Hockey ex-player. We'll certainly not be a big hit on the US commercial scene by selling our best players.
-
And yet Uncle Ralph tells us that no-one Mauricio wants to keep will be sold, does that mean MP doesn't want to keep Lallana then? I am totally confused.
-
Old Glasgow Saint and Ancient Bazza would have been moaning about us only finishing second though.
-
so that would be...18.75 million for us and 6.25 million for Bournemouth then, probably both less VAT, making our share in theory about 15 million £. Can't see that being true, not worth it for us at that price. The thought of actually giving 6.25 million to Bournemouth AFC is also revolting, they'll only waste it....
-
T'is true, can't see any reason whatsoever for Reed not being apparent though. Morgan takes a lot of knocks every single game so that's less of a surprise. I've noticed him rubbing his head often enough in recent games why that is I've no idea.
