  1. depends if you were equipped for short wave reception I'd expect. Most of these transmissions are high frequency shortwave. HAM radio amateurs pick them up all of the time.
  2. No someone was trying to send messages which ended in a lot of CIA wallahs getting topped by their own agents. Good guy + girl won in the end, rode off into the sunset, after being patched up for multiple gunshot wounds of course. Anyone can look up numbers stations, there's a youtube of the BBC radio broadcast available. Good old system, one way, no electronic trace and undecipherable if you don't have the one off code book.
  3. He..Guy ??? Kaila is a girl's name. Must be a wind up then, everybody knows women know nothing about football.
  4. Don't know about the Championship. For me it would be Kurzawa from Monaco (Franco-Polish so he'd love it in Southampton) and then Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg. Both are better actual left backs than Shaw. Both actually score goals as well.
  5. Well that's not right is it. If the transfer fee is 30 million the player is entitled to 5% of that unless he requested a transfer. The signing on fee is between the player and the new club.
  6. Our scouting team also seem to have rated Mayuka and Forren to name but 2.
  7. Never understood what people see in Kagawa, Moyes doesn't seem to have either.
  8. But surely under some circumstances Utd will qualify for the Europa League, just the sort of competition young players need to adapt to a different kind of football. Still don't think they'll sign him myself though. Riccardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg is a far better bargain, less than half the price and real international experience to boot.
  9. A strange conclusion there really, bloke wasn't top drawer on a bike and got lost, how much leadership skill can actually be expected to be transferred to riding a bike. That's not to say that i'm really convinced that he's up to actually doing the job rather than just talking about it but that remains to be seen..
  10. Juventus 1994-1998 read up on it... Walking pharmacies all of them.
  11. Well if it's parts of MH370 it should in theory be flotsam which is a result of shipwreck or in this case a crash. Jetsam is stuff voluntarily thrown overboard....unless of course someone opened the door of the aircraft and bunged stuff out, which would probably be why it's in the drink in the first place.
  12. Gaston is finished for the league season isn't he? Problems with both ankles . Think he's played his last game for us.
  13. Has that not been done already in various statements since the new board has been in control. Steady as she goes, no-one out that Mauricio wants to keep, doing the utmost to keep the manager etc etc etc. Sounds like the board are talking to deaf ears actually.. Then again there have been few visible actions so far.
  14. Hmm Occam's Razor. However we might be on the threshold of discovery with these bits and pieces that have been washed up south of Perth, probably just more flotsam from the ocean though.
  15. That would largely depend on who's managing them next season, can't see Van Gaal wanting any of our players at all.
  16. Martinez seems to have got an extra gear out of Coleman and it's probably been years since they had a striker like Lukaku. Seem to remember scoring goals was always one of their biggest problems, could be wrong.
  17. How about this for a solution, we do whatever is necessary to keep Mauricio (as Ralph says he will) and let the other all take care of their own problems.
  18. Err I didn't actually conduct any independent research, it was discussed at coffee break in the lab this morning. Some of them have some pretty wonky ideas, that's what makes them great scientists I suppose.
  19. Apparently the Israelis have an identical plane in storage in a hangar in Tel Aviv, all sorts of speculation on that notably from the Israel is the root of all evil brigade. Surprised you missed that Pap
  20. You didn't all ride in the bunch then or did he get dropped off the back ? Probably talks a good bike ride though.
  21. Day trip to Mexico or you can probably find some on mail order on the deep web.
  22. Chelsea have a top striker available to them, Mourinho didn't want him that's all. Mourinho doesn't have any time whatsover for young players which is strange really because Lukaku would count as an U21 and they've already got their full quota of 17 non-home grown senior players. .
  23. Fox came from Burnley
  24. In fact Stevy they would have been better signings because they would have at least played games and not caused trouble. I know you're Cabella fancier but I go to some Montpellier games and he has absent passages in nearly every game. He's a decent player but I fear that he won't be physically up to the intensity of the PL which is like no other league in the world. He's not very big and a bit lightweight and that's a big big risk for a midfielder in the PL. Toivonnen is a player who'd do really well in the PL actually.
  25. An out of work football manager would probably agree to most things to get a job actually. I am far from convinced that he's really onboard with the academy approach. evidently he's not going to turn his nose up at players with genuine talent like Chambers but JWP has been cast aside of late and only injuries have given him a couple of recent starts. As for the rest they played in cup games which we all know Mauricio rates really highly. A manager is judged on his results and if he's having to use young players because he has nothing else (as apparently was the case at the end of his time at Espanyol) then he'll think twice about carrying on in that vein if ever he has a real choice.
