We shall see. Personally I expect to see a renewed vastly improved contract for Mauricio and an end to all this academy nonsense concerning so/so players. We shall see what comes to pass.
-
Borussia Dortmund have signed Ramos to replace Lewandowski, bit of decent scouting and he'd probably have signed for us.
-
Yes it is, he wants experienced players and has been told to use the academy, this is all about that. He obviously plays lip service to the academy otherwise why would he take off a player 1 minute from the end of games to send Reed on ? He's being told what to do and obviously isn't over chuffed with it. If he was really convinced that Reed had something different to offer he'd bung him on with a bit of time to show what he could do.
-
I don't assume the club are at fault either but Mauricio isn't at all well paid and he obviously wants a lot more money and probably an end to this fecking about with the academy.
-
Ok I'll have a stab then. Ramos from Hertha, Olic from Wolsburg, Toivonnen from wherever he came from before he went to Rennes in January, Lacazette from Lyon, Remy etc etc etc . All of these players are better than either Lambert or Osvaldo and we could have obtained any of them for the ridiculous fee paid for the latter. Even Aliadiere would have been a better signing, as would Gameiro from Seville.
-
So he'd be waiting because he thinks he has a chance of getting what he might consider is a better job right ?
-
Looking forward to that then, me personally I won't hold my breath.
-
As I said, any reasonably efficient striker, Osvaldo was anything but, did feck all for us except cause trouble and hasn't done any better at Juventus. We got that all wrong.
-
Not as I see it actually, his close control isn't great, perhaps he needs some more game time to get the hang of it. Shouldn't be anywhere near the first team as of yet anyway.
-
Any reasonably efficient striker who we'd signed last summer would have greatly increased our points total this season, we got it all wrong and now we're left with the snail like Lambert and a leggy 18 year old who runs about a lot but can't control the ball correctly.
-
We actually made some inroads with the new ball (I presume), got 5 wickets fairly cheaply but now we're being slogged about by their late middle order again. Same old same old, staid, poor bowling will get us nowhere again this season. We could even lose this one if we don't bat well from the start.
-
I wouldn't set too many hopes on obtaining much for Mayuka, he's absolute rubbish and a permanent bench warmer at Sochaux. If we get 1.5 million for him we'll have done bloody well. Can't see what possessed us to buy him in the first place.
-
I really don't understand this difficult financial situation. We owe some not yet due transfer fees, we have more revenue this season than last and should make a profit. Why is what is supposed to be a mega rich owner quibbling over a few quid. Have the actual 2012/13 accounts been published anywhere ?
-
To take "decisive action" our board will need to double his salary and promise him a respectable transfer budget for next season with no "committee" input. Sounds pretty simple actually, don't know why they're not getting on with it unless of course Mauricio is stalling.
-
Given up on Seedorf already then have they ?

Premier League from January doesn't look so good
Window Cleaner replied to ART's topic in The Saints
Anyway Liverpool is about Suarez,Sturridge and more recently Sterling, all the rest is pretty mediocre. Any reasonable side with Suarez would probably win the PL. He's scored what 30 league goals in about as many games not even to mention the high proportion of the 12 penalties that he's obtained for them. If we had Suarez we'd be top 4, it's as simple as that. If Utd had signed him they'd be top and Moyes would be the best thing since sliced bread. Never seen one player totally dominate a championship in the way that he's done. -
does he actually play for them just now, noticed it was Harding at LB yesterday, perhaps Fox is injured currently.
-
I think you may want to review that statement actually. The increase in player salarial mass isn't 2 million, it's about how much PL base fund is used for salary increases. If you get a new shirt sponsor for 30 million a year you can plonk all of that on players' salaries. For the PL central fund the figure was 4 million for this season, 8 million for the next season and 12 million for the one after. The threshold figure also goes up so we'll still be under it anyway. Here's the gen Short-Term Cost Control MeasurePremier League clubs are restricted in terms the amount of increased PL Central Funds that can be used to increase current player wage costs to the tune of: - 2013/14: £4m - 2014/15: £8m - 2015/16: £12m The Short Term Cost Control measure applies only to clubs with a player wage bill in excess of £52m in 2013/14, £56m in 2014/15 and £60m in 2015/16.

Utd had a few managers between Busby and Ferguson, including McGuiness who lasted less than half a season, Busby even stepped back in to replace him after he was sacked. O'Farrell was pretty disastrous but the others all lasted 3 or 4 seasons.
-
It all depends, Everton finished yesterday's game with a second choice CB pairing. Don't know the status of Jagielka and Distin but with the young Stones (who looked handy by the way) and the Paraguayan wallah their defence might be a bit weaker than usual. However our front men will need to take their chances correctly and not waste them again as they did on Saturday.

No idea, the French league is very poor overall and even a sack of crap can look to be a good player on occasions because of the time and space available and the wimpy tackling. Nothing against Cabella, probably be alright but wouldn't spend billions on him. Ben Arfa looked a fantastic player when he was at Lyon but he's been very hit and miss with Newcastle.
-
Who the f*ck would want Moyes ?
-
Cabella? Round about 12 million euros I'd expect. Nicollin was asking 17 million € in January because he didn't want to sell the player before then end of the season.
-
So then Hants 328 all out, Derby are now about 60/1. Draw then, Hampshire's slow run scoring yesterday will put paid to much hope of a result methinks.
-
To be fair Kagawa is ineffective and Van Persie gave up on this season before it started. He's only interested in his last World Cup.
