I can only refer you to some of Ranieri's interviews in French for Monaco, they were excruciatingly bad and in the end journalists got the better of him. There's nothing more savage than a journalist twisting an error of phrase or grammar into what he thinks (or wants) to be true.

Perhaps because they don't really know what they're doing football wise. We have a gabber, an heiress (of incertain fortune) a Swiss (or German) lawyer, a bean counter and an old school football man. We should have appointed a real CEO with football experience when we were supposed to be looking for one.

2 players for 50 million plus Osvaldo and perhaps Gaston. That would give us pushing nigh on 65 million in transfer fees received (i've taken off Bompey's cut) plus 82 million PL revenues plus 20 odd million ticket sales plus odds and ends from the commercial side. So all told 180 million or so in revenue one way or another, what do they intend to do with all of that if there's not much of an incoming transfer budget then?

But he isn't.

Job creation scheme in the provinces.

Not without real money spent on a striker and another CB it won't.

Won't happen though, they had their chance last summer and cocked it up, now they're stuck with whoever they can get.

Liverpool Echo says they've only bid 20 million and that we want 25, that being 18.75 for us and 6.25 for Bournemouth then, urk the thought of giving them a hand-out like that just rankles, they'll only waste it . Perhaps we could try to fob them off with Sharp, Jos and Mayuka for about 25% of it.

Pochettino must have some basic grasp of French, he did a few years at PSG and Bordeaux.
-
QPR perhaps if they get promoted.
-
The trouble with Lallana is the 25% we have to give to Bournemouth. Already you have to deduct VAT from whatever you get, so that knocks 30 million back to about 25, 6.25 million of that for Bournemouth then agents fees, player's cut and whatever we may owe Lallana in the way of loyalty bonuses and whatever have you and we'll be left with not so much to sign a replacement.

Indeed, basically if Mauricio should go to Spurs (or anywhere else) it would be because the board have either sold players he really wants to keep or not been ambitious enough with new recruits. Benitez wouldn't stand for any of that either so there would be no point in trying to recruit him. If the board are decided to go with what we've got left after any outs and academy academy academy ad nauseum we won't get any really respectable manager.

Morgan Called Up for France WC Squad (Official)

It would indeed but I really wouldn't count on it. -
Napoli were 2nd thus directly into the group stage of the CL. Mauricio is now favourite for the Spurs job again. Doesn't mean anything I supppose, especially if our board are prepared to match his ambition (and salary of course).

Transfer window in the UK opens on the 9th June. Obviously players can move becaue there are no official games to be played by clubs but to be registered as a XXX player you have to wait for the 9th June.............. This is important in fact because of the FIFA handouts to players' clubs for WC presence. There's a pre-WC period which is counted as well so I really don't know how they'd handle a transfer on the eve of the WC. I expect you could look it up on the FIFA WC site though.

England World Cup Squad - Lambert, Lallana and Shaw included

Maya, Gaston and Dejan are already called up, think that will be about it unless the rap that Cabaye got on his ankle on Saturday is worse than expected. Still 6 players, that will bring us a bit of a bonus, might even get something for AOC as well, can't remember how far back the formation bonuses go. -
In fact if we're really going to sell we'd be as wise to do it before the WC on a cash only, no refunds basis. A crappy WC from England would lead to public lynching of all and sundry and a fall in values. I don't much like the look of the England squad, far too much inexperience and fear that you will not do well.

Watched the stream on SyFy channel yesterday, very good it was too. Anyway the commentators (Scots knobber, don't know who it was) said Adam tended to go missing in games, doesn't last 90 minutes and doesn't work back consistently, good when he does though. Got the impression that he thought him overated. Doesn't seem to be putting in the same defensive contribution of late, probably because we really had nothing to play for and JRod's injury has put a bit of caution into their games.

Well if you remember who the author was you could probably just ask him for a copy, finding him or her might not be so though. -
Liverpool were considering Lovren last summer, they dillied and dallied and Lyon wanted to get their hands on the money (as per usual) and he agreed to sign for Saints. I'd think they'll already have bid for him, probably before Lallana, maybe for both at the same time. Really can't see him hanging around with us at all, in fact too good for a non-European side.

400/1 to win the PL and 14/1 to get relegated. They really don't think much of us chez les bookies do they.

Looked at the Spanish GP a bit yesterday, what a boring procession it was.
-
I don't think the transfer window is actually open yet, deals can be agreed of course but whether they can be ratified by the FA just yet is doubtful.

It's what he does...spout I mean, when you spout as much as he does there's bound to be wheat and chaff.

So you're 22.50£ less well off then.
