  1. Not really, it's just a list of pretty basic football names, a sort of invitation to make stupid bets if you like. Still as I have no sympathy for wagerers I don't really care, although they should be protected from themselves, much in the same way as other autodestruction addicts.
  2. It's just a random list of names for the most part, if anyone is silly enough to bet on them then that's their own stupid fault.
  3. I see that Espanyol have replaced Aguirre with his assistant, perhaps we could get Aguirre...bit of continuity eh...
  4. But Yakin made himself unemployed, no doubt for a reason.
  5. We shall see, they also have the likes of Sigursson, Chadli,Dembele and Bentaleb. All excellent players who just need the right manager to guide them along. I can well imagine some of the players they have pressing forwd in habitual MP style, hard machine to stop.
  6. Liquidation in the sense of everything being reduced to highest cash denominator is what people are concerned about I'd think, not legal liquidation to pay creditors.
  7. And then he dumped her for a soap actress anyway. Nothing should ever be compared to MLT, he did what he wanted and truncated his career no end. Waste of an incredible talent.
  8. They have a perfect good left back in Rose, they've a shedload of midfielders that neither Sherwood or AVB knew how to use, Lamela is a great winger...apparently, just needs someone who knows how to use him, then there's Townsend and Lennon if he's still there. They're not far short of what they need but the CBs aren't great.
  9. Not if he's resigned and paid his 2 million quid.
  10. They are of course entitled to their opinion. For me the combination of Pochettino and the squad that they have there plus 2 new CBs is dynamite, he'll take it far, top 4 next season which is where he and they want to be.
  11. Who? Reed Could well be true but for me he just has an England fixation. As long as he has a myriad of players in the unders at the FA he is a made up man. Why if the prospective new manager is up to him I'd wager on either Southgate or McClaren or even (dare I float this?) Hodgson if or when he gets sacked by England after a poor WC.
  12. Who knows really, I turn up at functions in which I have absolutely no interest from time to time, it creates an air of harmony within the group. Everyone knows that your average Southampton fan in extremely susceptible to what he or she thinks is right, what is the done thing. Not selling FFs books..baaad, no free parking...end of the world, not communicating with the fans..off with his head. We now have a mediameister at the helm, he probably just tells KL when and where to turn up.
  13. Not necessarily. Pochettino was a cheap option (20K a week, lowest paid PL manager if you believe the meejah) and he turned out well enough.
  14. what on earth would we want with an old dinosaur like that. Leave him be with his little Scotland job.
  15. Well we don't, in fact we don't know very much at all. It's all just invective, speculation and rumour. We don't know how much money she really has, why everything else has been wound up etc etc. Just a case of wait and see and hope we come out of the wash in one piece.
  16. Mind you with all those who are supposed to be leaving 17th wouldn't be too bad for us next season. Looks as if, just like WBA and Swansea, we'll have one very respectable season and then implode because of lack of ambition from the board.
  17. Tuchel was touted as a candidate for Stuttgart the other day, probably in L'Equipe.
  18. any big Hockey jobs up for grabs just now ? Just asking.
  19. run out of money maybe...who knows. KL has presided over the sale or liquidation of everything else in the former ML empire, there must be a reason for that don't you think. Either the enterprises were loss making, they didn't interest her or she got excellent offers and decided to cash in. It's all very obscure really, the total legacy has been cashed in.
  20. Probably because he's never managed outside of top flights. Winning games in League 1 just doesn't count.
  21. Indeed, can we never ever get rid of this joker.
  22. What would be the point in that, the basic reason that Mauricio may well leave is that the club's ambition probably didn't match his own, the reason that he came here in the first place. Basically that means not enough money available to build the side he wants. Mancini and Benitez would probably want even more money, which they won't get because the taps have been turned off, so there's no point in even dreaming about hiring blokes of their stature. We'll get some second rate bottom grubber or a total unknown from continental europe, like Petrescu.
  23. He really would be my favourite, from the touted possible candidates anyway. I certainly don't want anyone like McClaren or any other British serial failure manager.
  24. QPR's squad was poor this season, they've cut costs and the side has suffered. I mean Clint Hill and Richard Dunne just are too old for any serious purpose except winning high balls, Zamora, that's pure junk on a realistic basis compared to say Remy. Rednapp has done well, cut costs and got promoted.
  25. But we won't because we'll certainly have inferior players and no doubt an inferior manager...unless the club is sold to someone with some serious spending money that is.
