  1. Obviously not in his case though. As I say he's nigh on 28,when his contract expires he'll be over 30 I think so he is not going to forego nigh on a million £ just to play a bit of football. As for recovering any of our 1.8 million £ well i think we can just forget about that. Any club interested in recruiting him on loan will know the exact situation with him and I really doubt that anyone will pay him much more than half of his salary, hotshot goleadors are two a penny in the NPC because every PL club has a couple that they don't need and most of them are on far less than Sharp..
  2. but I was right in thinking that at the time you were considering leaving Uni it was to go into local radio. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?33823-Dropping-Out/page2&highlight=anthropology#.UjLuRtKpWSo
  3. Exactly, it was just 2%(roughly the Mensa level percentage oddly enough) of any age group when I went up to Imperial, mind you there were plenty of jobs that took up most of the lesser gifted element in those days. Why a decent set of A levels, ie you passed 3 or 4 opened doors that are now seemingly only available to PhDs. Mind you A levels weren't easy in those days. Today's call centre work (from what I understand of it anway) would probably be filled by 16 year old school leavers which was about the normal age back then.
  4. Higher education isn't suited to everyone, however hard successive goverments try to make you believe it is. Glad I came out of the system in the lates 70s where a 7 stretch at a decent Uni gave you a respectable career path for as long as you wanted it.It was free and they gave you pocket money to boot.
  5. Why would he want to do that though, bloke is 27 pushing 28, he'll never get another shot at PL football so he might as well miilk the Saints for every contracted penny he can. If he was 24 or 25 I'm sure it would be different.
  6. Of course, footballers should go where they have a chance of err playing football.
  7. Results would suggest otherwise. I watch the highlights on the OS, they're not very good you know.
  8. poor thing was quite poorly apparently, needed vet care and antibiotics. Owners have now had to install security cameras, or so they say.
  9. Well that's an adult attitude then to be sure. Plenty of footballers have played for their favourite team's rivals. It's a job where you earn a living at the end of the day. Idiots should be banned from Twitter.
  10. right, as I can't be bothered to put the c*nt back in sc*nthorpe what's he been saying then.
  11. Of course, Clyne is better both going forward and defensively but I get the impression that we're on a home grown and proud trip just now.
  12. a few US U20 games and the OS footage on U21 games,
  13. Meanwhile down in deepest Wiltshere we have a man who has been given a 6 month sentece for sh@gging a goat.
  14. the U21 are garbage this season which is kinda normal really, all our young talent has acceeded to the first team squad already. It would be totally different if they could call upon Chambers,JWP and Shaw.
  15. pointless end of season game anyway but yes you're right, we got 2 early wickets but have now settled back into our usual generosity with the middle order.
  16. Not only will we not drop Lambert, I doubt that we'll drop JWP either or even Chambers for that matter.
  17. Cropper is probably a far better keeper already than Gazzaniga will ever be, rash and foolish acquisition, still I guess that's what being desperate to be shot of Forecast does for you.
  18. so from whence he came at the knock down price of only 2.1 million . Needs to go to at least an NPC club if he's to prove his worth as a potential PL keeper.
  19. and 15 from yours for prepaid, Imagine if Baden-Powell had made that error, the boy scouts motto would be '"Be Prepaid" , mind you not a bad motto in today's world.
  20. strange the stats don't correspond with those on Saints team stats page on who scored. They give us an average of 86 long balls for the 2 away games and 87 for the home game so that makes a total of 259 and not 225. Could it be that whoscored's stats are in fact total crock ?
  21. I thought you were doing some sort of Local Radio degree, or am I getting my Mikeys confused ?
  22. I went to a couple of their do's down at the Café Royal a long time back, pretty boring bunch really, not much totty IIRC.
  23. just answer the question
  24. Weschler, Stanford-Binet or Cattell ??
  25. They probably would have made the final if it were not for the horrific tackle by Roy McFarland on Lubanski, put him out for about 2 years IIRC.
