  1. Got a buyer lined up has he?
  2. They're not even going to Dijon. Going to Evian, playing at Divonne les Bains. Obviously the work experience kid they let write the article isn't too au fait with anything much.
  3. think he meant Hull.
  4. Think so, I remember him being on the pitch a at the time of the 2015 bombings so that would have been on 13th November thus after he moved to Utd. Played against England a couple of days afterwards as well.
  5. A while ago. PL football has moved on since then and Llorente is now borderline past it, players of his age are being put out to pasture in Japan and the MLS.
  6. We have paid reasonable amounts for iffy players already. Top top players cost more than we can pay so we go for lucky dip options. We have the squad that we can afford and that our position affords us. We can't even get top youth talent any more. Utd, City and Chelsea snap them all up before they're out of school and then farm them out to whomsoever they wish.
  7. Did he DAJ for Spurs? No he didn't. A waste of money for them, would be for us, needs to go back to Spain and stroll around a bit there.
  8. Carrillo was a mediocre player in a poor league, he obviously had no margin for improvement when he moved up to a league where defenders are far, far better than those that they have at Dijon and Amiens. We were stupid to buy him and that's all that there is to it. Scottish football is just one step above public rec football and no reference can be made to it.
  9. I obviously didn't pay enough attention to detail.:)
  10. Low scoring Roses match so far. 20 wickets down already for the day. Neither side got any batting points which is a handy situation for us.
  11. 12th-13th, something like that.
  12. But the 9th August deadline only apples to the UK doesn't it? Might even only apply to the PL for all I know. there is nothing to stop want away players throwing wobblies after the season starts in the UK in the hope of a move to some other European club. Depends why they want awy doesn't it.
  13. Yes, the squad you have on opening day is about all you have until January. Will stop desperation buying for ridiculous sums by teams who lose a couple of August matches perhaps.
  14. See post 849, Osvaldo and Carrillo both fall into that description.
  15. But their opponents were of a derisory quality. Derby are just one step down the ladder.
  16. Off to a bright start today, well apart from Vince getting out for 1 that is, since then lost 3 other wickets and are now being pinned down. Vs Essex innit. Wheater will no doubt make a big score and Bopara will finish us off.
  17. Sounds about right, same as every season really..
  18. I'd wager Arsenal will have a net spend exceeding 50 million this summer. They'll still finish 6th at best.
  19. Depends if you're thinking Carrillo or Osvaldo really. Difference is that Richarlison has shown that he can score and create in the PL.
  20. If he gets 1 goal he'd be a massive upgrade on Carrillo.:p:p
  21. There's probably a bit of a settlement for the Silva dispute in the price as well. They can't score goals so if he helps them solve that then it's not a bad deal.
  22. Doubt that they'd be capable of paying much more really.
  23. Well then, no doubt a stream will be there to be found if you look hard enough. Try Hesgoal, they put up links to some really low profile matches.
  24. A T20 win at last. Hants total looked a few short really, despite a goodish start but the bowlers got the job done.
  25. Really it's all about Pochettino and his guys. A lot of players who showed exceptional form under his methods have just faded away. Morgan would probably have gone on to better things if he'd gone to Spurs in 2014 at the start of heir upturn. Other than that no, he'd not have done any better by staying with Saints, on the international front anyway.
