All this poll showed is that many did not and probably still do not realise just how good some of the players in our squad really are. Class is permanent. They stepped up from the drudgery of League 1 to provide a brilliant start to our campaign in the NPC. Then the manager tinkered too much and would not change the weakest link so the start to our PL campaign was dreadful. Since that has been corrected we look like a decent side. Lambert,Schneiderlin,Fonte,Lallana and Davis I suppose were here before NA and they're still here after he's gone.

However 1 of our players was watched by a top top club at least 3 times in late December/January plus of course in our game against them which also fell into that period..

well Punch definitely signed for another 3 years or so but I don't know about the 5 year plan. Probably correct though because all the recently extended players are quoted about club ambition.

If we can go 1 up in the first 10 minutes or so they will cave in because they'll know that they're relegated (if they don't already). The longer it goes at 0-0 the more difficult it will become for us.

Jay's incessant running at defences and his willingness to work back and defend since MP has given him his real chance will not have escaped notice. A really changed player of late, he likes to run at defences and he looks as if he's got a bit of a brain so MP's approach seems to suit him well.

Other than Joe Allen I expect he meant then. On that subject a classic case of contracts meaning diddly squat, Allen signed until 2015 with Swansea last seasn but was off like a bolt of lightning when a "big club" and his ex-manager came calling.
