Take away the penalties and work it out again. Gerrard and Lampard take England's penalties I think. Lambert is 8+3 don't know how that compares with the other hotshots.

Would any of you do an FC United of Manchester?

I believe a few people actually prefer Totton and Eastleigh because they feel closer to those sides. Nothing wrong with that. -

there were 75600 present at the Man U -Saints game so I guess they can spare a few for CoMFC. What do Eastleigh and Totton get now ? -

seems that the total attendance at Buxton last week-end was 1121. Didn't Road-Sea used to get about 500 ? -
season is too short, not enough games for the majority of teams. 20 out of 32 teams are done after 17 weeks.

and that died out when they started being successful again I think. Old Traff is always full so I doubt if the directors worry too much about FC Manchester anyway. -
it's not about the teams, it's about the refs. If you want to work it all out and go all Hercule Poirot you need to follow the refs. Hungariian,Turkish,Slovenian whatever, that's what will tell you matches are fixed, it's not about players per se.

it's a joke, Blackadder is a TV comedy

and did we use Richardson on Saturday when Clyne was injured? Don't think so although he might not even have been on the bench.
-
no it doesn't; you need to watch these accusations.

Cork would eventually go to right-back as usual. I happen to think he's quite good there and we have midfield options. City might well be depleted as well.

so it looks as if Ranger's use of the tax trust scheme wasn't illegal at all. Love to see them sue the HMR+C for all they've got. Then again I don't live in the UK

Anyone else think they might have been poisoned this way?
Window Cleaner replied to saintbletch's topic in The Muppet Show
she should have mixed the poison with some strawberry jam and put whipped cream on top of it. Amateurs....... -
people who put things in bold type need to get their facts straight. Ramirez is 22 Luke Shaw on the other hand is 17 This is to do with adapting to EPL football though, no other league in the world is like it. Plus I think since his "single leg Arkwright" on Wilshere Gaston has got a reputation as a dirty player who gets as good as he gives.

Match fixing in England...(Champions League)
Window Cleaner replied to Saint Garrett's topic in General Sports
Fingers (no doubt just guesswork) are starting to be pointed at the 2 2009 semi-finals apparently. I remember the ref in the Chelsea -Barca game being a right useless bastard. Drogba got into real hot water over him. -

it won't be anything to do with a manager and probably not even players. It will more than likely be an iffy East European or Turkish reffing trio giving a dodgy penalty to influence the result or a blatantly offside goal being allowed. -
I've seen Saints at Rotherham, Cup game, Bart was awful and we got mullered; Perhaps they have a new ground since then though.

Down: Fulham Villa QPR Up: Don't care, anyone except dirty Leeds.

because it's not teams that fix matches per se, it's players and refs. Greedy men will do anything for a couple of extra bob whether they need it or not. -
Clyne and Ramirez withdrawn from international duty
Window Cleaner replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Inconsistent reffing is a major problem in the UK; Refs apply the rules as they see them and not to the letter of the law. Put up a stat yesterday in another thread Italy Serie A 78 red cards so far this season, PL 27. Barton was sent off for 2 yellows in Marseille yesterday for tackles that he thought wouldn't even get a foul in the UK. Reffing in the Uk needs a severe upgrade, they need to apply the rules and not what they think the rules to be. There will probably be 10 penalties a game but until the players play to the rules and not to what refs let them get away with it will continue to be chaos and bad injuries will keep on happening. -

it was known that Gaston went off with a dead leg on Saturday, said so on Sky. Clyne was obviously injured from early on as well looked to be struggling and he rarely does that. -
League 1 ?? Needs to be playing at a higher level than that, he'll get massacred.
-
It would be good for us if he does, hasn't had a game in a while and is extremely immobile. The other one was no great shakes at the ACON either.
-
well I'd think they'll replace him with a Defoe like player if they replace him at all.

Fulham will be one of the key teams to the relegation league, I think they have to play virtually the entire bottom group apart from us. So for Fulham to escape being drawn into the bottom battle they have to beat other teams in the mini-league. If other teams want to get out of it they'll have to beat Fulham. I can see us above Fulham by mid-March.
