Certainly not, in modern football bad reffing is as certain as death and taxes. Just because you get 3 iffy decisions against you one week it doesn't mean you'll be spared them the next. The game has become too fast and too intricate for the referee and assistants. When a ref costs 40 million £ and gets 200K£ a week for his talents it will be better.

I noticed that Morgan is shooting on sight now, most go high,wide or not very handsome but he's playing the percentage game and scoring the odd goal, Lallana would be well advised to do the same because his success/shots ratio can't get any much worse.

Debuchy is a good player marauding forward, probably too good for the inexperience of Shaw and Fox..well forget it.. Lallana just doesn't provide enough cover to his FB and that's not going to change anytime soon. We're probably better off without him to be honest..

As I see it when a player is judged guilty of "expanding his defensive surface" with his arms it's a penalty if the ball hits them.

Surprised to see so much negativity over this game, watched all but the first few minutes (missed our goal, took me over an hour to drive the 17 km from work to home in about 3 feet of white shîte again). Thought we looked reasonably comfortable but lost to 2 unfortunate goals. One point that struck me though, we needed more efficiency in front of goal from our attacking midfielders, JRod,Lallana and eventually Gaston. They waste too many chances.

The correct answer is : It's local league football with lowly qualified refs and amateur(and usually biased) linesmen.The ref is perfectly right to consult his assistants but as they're usually unqualified and hugely biased the result of the consultations is usually wrong. You just have to suck it up.
