  1. still might, you'd have to colour me dubious about him still being here on the opening day of next season .
  2. tbh for my part I was never a great fan of NA. Always thought he'd hit the buffers sooner or later. Wouldn't have got past the first 10 games this season, if it was up to me (which it obviously wasn't) Must be said that amongst all the posters of this forum we were in a minority of about 4 though.
  3. we failed to convert our chances against QPR, they didn't. It's a big failing with the Saints on occasions.
  4. Gerrard was an excellent player, should have moved on at his peak. Same as MLT really. Top players need new challenges from time to time to avoid stagnation no matter how much the fans love them. Still think a couple of ours will need to move on within a couple of years to exploit their full potential.
  5. And yet even the Chelsea park the bus schema shows real managerial ability, try to get Drogba to track back and tackle in his own box...now that would defeat most managers.
  6. Pochettino obviously, for me NA was only as good as the players he had at his disposal. When he has a squad that needs managing because most of them aren't playing way below their level we shall see just how good his managerial abilities really are. 2 successive promotions...well with half a PL team at his disposal it really isn't a surprise. I shall never forget the danger he put us into with his crass mishandling of the keeper situation, for me that shows his level.
  7. I'd by far rather face Ba than Torres, don't rate Ba over highly, too erratic. Torres is still a hard player to handle. Ba is up and down, the middle, Torres is everywhere and dangerous if his stuff comes off.
  8. I thought he was supposed to be "favourite" to take over at Leicester. Don't much care myself where he ends up although it would be quite interesting to see his managerial skills without a "ready to roll" setup.
  9. Portsea Island would be no loss
  10. What's it got to do with him ?
  11. Newcastle are over-extending their ressources, a couple more injuries again today. Could be in big trouble if they lose against Sunderland.
  12. Adkins as overly loyal to KD and seemed to want nothing to do with Boruc. Cost him his job and us a place in the top half.
  13. Excellent game yesterday, watched some of his goal attempts closely, looked to me as if his anticipatation and timing are slightly off most of the time, tends to lean back too far to try to get too much ooomph on the ball. Not an expert but I think he's over-complicating his shooting. Needs to watch JRod, he keeps it really simple
  14. way to go, Suarez has a fragile mental state.
  15. Bad game or as good a could be expected faced with our own excellent and tenacious midfield ?
  16. 2 million £...according to Adkins if only he'd got that right from the outset.
  17. will take big money though
  18. better that than slagging off the team and the manager
  19. too many teams with too many games in hand make 10th a bit of a pipe dream.
  20. and the back-pass is always an option if the defenders are in trouble, counts for a lot.
  21. at least we scored 3, seeing as our problem has been failing to score at all of late we should be content with 3. Still reckon scoring early is what counts.
  22. probably an 8 nil spanking for us.
  23. And a fair old bit of GD though. Think Wigan will battle it out with Villa for the 17th and 18th places on the last day. Great game for us today though, we made them look garbage in the first half, early goal really settled us down.
  24. no he isn't, he would need to get booked in the next 3 games to get suspended 7 bookings so far and it's 10 before Sunday 8th April ie 3 games away.
  25. for a bloke who hardly plays and hasn't scored since the Great Fire of London those are remarkably stingy odds.
