maybe but they're trying desperately to sign a striker from Bordeaux right now. Gouffran, out of contract in June, a million will get it done but Toon have only offered about half of that. Yanga Mbiwa is up there today so with the 8 million that he'll cost them and Debuchy at 6 million they've spent a bit already.
-
And Martin last played a game at a respectable level when?
-
I'd rather have Mauricio on the bench than Martin but it won't happen, perhaps the Norwegian press are wrong. Unless of course Fonté is there or thereabouts.
-
not surprising as Everton have Jelavic on point and Jos is far taller than Forren I believe.

Not Guly then or JRod as as the start of the season? -
that may well change. Manager appoints the Captain not the ex manager.
-
Perhaps they're all on gardening leave until NA gets another job and comes calling.
-
all NC did is refused to sell him at less than his value thus creating a limbo situation. Not wanted by NA not going anywhere else for nowt. Well that's how I saw it I think.
-
Sky game, they'll do what it takes. Yesterday's games were on in pretty awful conditions.
-
Or it could just be a "get 'em while they're hot, they're lovely" Wengerian philosophy is at work at SFC.
-
-
To me Crouch was obsessed by being at the reins of SFC, anything that might achieve that was worth a try. Like buying a lot of shares at 65p which was ridiculous and put any one with serious money off because all shares then became that price or damn near it.
-
depends exactly who was trying to push him out of the door, if you believe rumours that is. Was it Adkins to make room for JRod or was it NC to make room for a different kind of football. I guess if he goes anywhere at any time soon we'll know.

I don't think Liebherr was a billionaire at all, perhaps in Swiss francs. Rich man but the wealth attributed to him was probably overstated ten fold. The figure that is often attributed to him refers to the whole Liebherr family from which he seemed to be a bit estranged . All of his businesses have fallen under the spell of Cortese and a lawyer liquidator from Zurich. That wouldn't happen if billions were involved.

Who knows, Rickie or Morgan I guess unless MP goes for Gaston to relay his instructions more efficiently. Then again Gaston's english might not be great either. Anyone who can lead from the front will do for me.
-
club captain still isn't he?
-
two birds one stone, Jiminez is Pochettino's assistant and a GK coach to boot,Davis will probably be out of here to the next club that puts in a loan offer. I put up a link to all this yesterday on another thread with exactly the same subject. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42576-Who-are-the-back-room-staff

you never know, in theory we'll be lucky to escape with a short defeat but the Utd that I saw yesterday were not world beaters and their CBs looked fragile, probably due to the incessant snow. Mind you they'd had a toughy midweek I think against West Ham.
-
Spurs beat them due mainly to a Balefest, which is why they had Phil Jones a centre back at RM yesterday and Cleverley at LM instead of Valencia.
-
Not getting upset, just said that Utd looked beatable yesterday, what's wrong with that ?
-
I don't know, United looked distinctly beatable yesterday, if only Dempsey could finish properly most of the time Spurs probably would have won. Maybe Utd will put out a better side against us though and not cut off their nose to spite their face because they were afraid of Bale.
-
but would we have lost if we'd been drawn at home to say Gillingham ? I believe we let it go against Chelsea in the cup though once it was obvious that we couldn't win outright.

Nice article but it merely looks like a very well expressed précis of some of the more objective posts in our Nigel Sacked thread. All of those points were made in it, they were just completely ignored or obscured by ridiculous outpourings of support for Adkins. -
can't be right, we could not possibly have known that we were going out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round. There was a trip arranged to Malta in the next IB but I think we moved that forward to the gap in the fixtures occasioned by the Chelsea game postponement. I'm sure they went to Malta and kept PDQ about it. Sunseekers thingy and then they were woefully bad against Sunderland.
