doesn't have the credentials. NPC at best, mid-table. Nowhere is he going to stumble across a side with quality like he had when he came to us. After that it was just a bit of touch up work. Lambert,Schneiderlin,Puncheon,Lallana,Fonte,AOC he's not going to get a side like that gifted to him again, nor the money for Cork,Sharp,Jos,Fox etc.
-
not a good squad at all, young yes but lacking real quality, good defence though, rest not so much.
-
when we know very well that at least one of them does and that he already has an interpreter versed in the ways of the team.
-
they're pros, not many of them will care who the manager is. Some might even welcome the change because they didn't feel that they were going anywhere fast with Nigel. At least we won't have to put up with any more Adkins f*ckwit press conferences, circles within circles within spirals, not to mention his quotes from the Art of War.

I'm sorry but getting promoted from League 1 and the NPC with a massive budget mean nothing to me. I could have got us out of League 1 with that squad and any competent manager could have got us out of the NPC with the players he had at his disposal. Believe it or not some of them are bloody good, they're holding their own in the EPL and keeping us out of trouble. NA is an adequate manager who has been handsomely rewarded for the success that he has brought to the club. I think he had a contract until 2015 or something so willno doubt be receiving a handsome settlement. But when you don't know how to use Gaston Ramirez and JRod correctly you'll eventually get the boot. When a first class keeper is put at your disposal and you carry on with your favourite hack you eventually get the boot and a big pay off..

So ? Are we not entitled to our opinion? I've been telling you it's been coming for weeks, if you don't listen that's no skin off my nose.
-
It was down to players who are as they are with or without NA and his coaches. Natural player talent is the only constant in football unless you've got Sir Alex as manager but crap coaching has ruined many a promising player..
-
He has been given a chance and found wanting. It's just the courage of a few players and a couple of lucky reffing decisions that put us where we are today. The penalty at Villa (which I still believe was for a foul on Punch) and a couple of misses by strikers in front of open goals are all that are keeping us out of the relegation zone after a massive investment. What got Nigel the boot more than anything were the points thrown away at home to Swansea and Norwich. He's paid for his keeper choice since last summer. This is it, believe it.

Why ? It's just a paid employee of a football club being given the shove that he's looked like getting for a couple of months now. Why be sad...I really can't understand this at all. Loads of good people get the sack every day, do you feel sad for them all ? Angry, perplexed, disappointed maybe but not sad.

He doesn't have the credentials to manage Liverpool as yet. His PL record with a good squad isn't great. Won't get another PL job for a couple of years yet, unless it's Reading of course.

not to be a pedant but disgusted isn't an adjective it's a compound verb. I am disgusted A disgusting decision.

the "owners" are a myth. Cortese runs SFC as he sees fit. There are no "owners" just Cortese.
-
which he used extremely badly at times, it's no use spending 12 million £ on a mercurial midfielder if you have a clown in goal.
-
me neither, it's been coming for a while, none so blind as those who won't see.
-
He was a great motivator of men in a very mixed race side. Captain dependable and a fantastic defender even if some of his tackles were straight red. I just can't see him getting pushed around and from what i read his management at Espanyol the cinderella club in Barcelona wasn't too bad until they had a financial crisis. Don't forget the Spanish government made football clubs pay or greatly reduce their debt levels last year. It would be like us under the Dutch duo, a lose lose situation..
-
not the impression he gave from sous entendus in his interview the other day.
-
other way round, Punch had a barney with Crosby at the start and it all derived from there. In the end NC stepped in and wiped the slate clean.
-
Apparently we won't be signing anyone else...or so it's said. We have a good squad, in fact if anything we need to get rid of some dead wood but who knows if it will still be dead wood with better coaching. No doubt the amount of instantly accumulated dead wood vis a vis the PL has been a concern to the Chairman. The casting aside of Lee and Mayuka must have really rankled with him and to be honest some of our rumoured transfer targets were laughable but then perhaps it was just agent talk. What we must not forget is that Punch who looks a really handy PL player was cast aside by NA and his sidekick Crosby and that proved a big mistake.
-
What better job ? He has no credentials to obtain a PL post with any of today's better teams. Villa perhaps but that's no better than Blackpool with the players they have. He had a fantastic squad with us and didn't use it very well sometimes.

There is nothing wrong with Pochettino as a manager as far as I'm concerned. Then again I had the pleasure of watching him for 3 seasons at PSG as a player..
-
We have seen that that isn't the case with QPR and Fulham. Small grounds big budgets.15000 STs brings in about 7 million £ after VAT, a drop in the ocean when compared to 40 million £ TV money, a guaranteed 18 million of which comes from Overseas TV rights. So in theory the match going fans aren't even as important as the foreign TV viewers income wise..

Just been reading through the announcement on the OS. Now I'd say from that that we are not integrating our youngsters into the first team in sufficient quantity and that is being held against Nigel. Shaw isn't enough perhaps, perhaps we aren't attracting sufficient quality to the academy to provide first team players and are having to buy too many in. I'd say coaching and development side of things is being called into question.
-
Probably now got one and we can move on with the next stage. Hope it works out

doesn't have the stature to manage Chelsea though.
