Hindsight ? There were some of us saying we needed a new number 1 keeper last spring, how is that hindsight? Davis was never,ever good enough for the PL, he wasn't good enough for the NPC on occasions and don't go on about players voting for him, they don't think and many of them wouldn't even have seen him play more than twice in the season.

I got slagged off for saying that, last summer and again last week. Martin seems to be a bit of a sacred cow on this forum. Once again I don't think that many of our co-posters realise just how good you need to be to play regularly in the PL.

Lambert did have a reasonable PL season with Norwich last year though. Looks to me as if that may have been down to the players more than the manager. Players adapted to the PL but the manager didn't quite really. Some of his player choices this season have been abysmal .

In fact we did spend one tenth of 12 million on a player who isn't much older than Gaston today and who is of a level equal or superior to his. Best thing Lowe ever did but then how much of that credit we owe of that to Georges Prost I couldn't say.

means you'd have to take the dead wood out of the official EPL squad that's all. Butterfield, De Ridder, Lee even. We already have 1 space I think because Dickson and Seaborne were part of the original 25 because of EPL rules.
