Oh come on Bearsy are you trying to tell me that you were the only adolescent who didn't read the dog eared copy of LETB that got passed around in the school bike sheds and on the school bus.Even our little ginger haired neighbour girl with a posh mum read it.

Dean Hammond seems to think that those who earned our new found PL status should be given a chance to play there or so it would seem on the latest interview on the OS.

I think this point is best answered in a Ph D thesis attributed to the well known Caledonian pair of the gender challenged, Ben Doon and Phil McCavity. If that doesn't suffice for your study then there is an excellent passage on the subject in Hubert Selby Jnr's work "Last Exit to Brooklyn" where many myths are dispelled...or not.

So to save a lot of forum space we should sign everybody from the 3 relegated PL teams and everybody from the 3 play-off teams that didn't get promoted, is that right? -
If there are any left after the sanctions for the latest bout of match fixing.
-
what sort of bollix is that then, jeez some seem to queue up to get under the thumb as soon as possible. :smug:
-
here ya go black and white then:rolleyes::rolleyes: Home leg obviously, doesn't look like blue and blue though, more red and white with Lisbon in their traditional green/white hoops. Can't see why there would be any change for the away leg really.

What is there not to understand about Titus Bramble, he's trouble on a stick but he's got a contract a Sunderland and no NPC team can afford him even if they had any wish to do so. Do you actually know what you're taking about ?

In fact ignore lists are like those red buttons on Pelican crossings, they're just there to give the punter an appearance of control. When they first appeared in Bitterne High St half of them weren't actually connected, you could push the f*ckers all day long but the lights were on a fixed sequence timer anyway. Read somewhere yesterday that having any control of the vast majority of things affecting your life is one of the great illusions of our time.

Can't be much of secret that we'll need a new right back really so I'd think that we might well be one of those teams. Not so sure whether we need Rodriguez though but if Nigel thinks we do then I guess he's right. -
Totally pointless anyway. For a poster to get onto an ignore list he needs to p*ss you off somewhat, to do that he(or she) will probably be abrasive, self opinionated or controversial,so someone will always quote the posts when replying and you get to see them anyway.

You pays your money and takes your choice. He who pays the piper calls the tune etc etc etc. Can't see any problem myself.

None too sure if you could play Sigurdsson and Lallana in the same side though, similar roles? -
Whereas our problem is that the cost of maintaining the layabouts in their life of luxury is totally financed by those in employment thus making our competitvity inexistent. The minimum salary here costs an employer somewhere north of £12 an hour and that's a lot of money to pay for a bog cleaner or a counter assistant at McDonalds. Just so that you understand the enormity of the drag of these people on the employed. For a person on minimum wage (151.67 hours at 9.22 euros an hour per month) before income tax the employee actually gets to take home about 1042 euros (ie 7 euros an hour) and the total cost to the employer is about 1900/2000 euros. So at the end of the day the worker gets about half of what he costs his employer, the rest is just snaffled up in "social charges" don't forget this is PRE-TAX. A France without it's punitive "social charges" could create more jobs than it could fill because each job costs roughly twice the take home pay(pre income tax) that the worker receives. We are paying the Mitterand years and will be for a long time to come.

Damn slippery those little 20p pieces. Now a nice crisp 10 bob note or a giant half-crown coin is far more difficult to lose. Always felt safe with a half-crown in my pocket personally.

Who cares, he's a football manager, getting sacked is an occupational hazard. Hull didn't get any better under Barmby, even slid down the table a bit I think,no results= no job it's a fact of life in football.
-
Too true ART,those outside of France just do not realise just how much of the populace exist for hand-outs and that anyone who tries to stem that flow because financing them has become impossible has about a zero percent charge of re-election. Where else in our world can you make as much from staying at home with 5 kids than you can by doing an honest day's work.
-
If neither of them can produce a better display than Cardiff they might as well save everbodies time and money and stay at home.Yesterday's game was a no contest, fortunately for us West Ham had a spell when they couldn't get a home win for love nor money. Then again if either of us had been able to gain a home win against Reading it would be them in the play-offs. Top 3 should go up if there's more than a 10 point margin between 3rd and 4th.

Thought she'd be more of a Pompey supporter really, 6 fingers on one hand, big ugly mole and 2 sisters sh@gging the same bloke definitely Pompey.

My my, what a surprise there can be no sport more transparent in it's promotional efforts than boxing.Should be banned anyway.

I don't think many realise just how good you have to be to become an even moderately successful footballer nowadays.I'd wager that many of the "stars" of the past wouldn't even get a game in League 2 nowadays. -
That would be strange, the trip was openly spoken of by players in press interviews so why cancel it because of the Echo. Now if the Echo were planning on sending reporters or photographers to get some Vegas material to print, that I could see might cause a problem. Trip wasn't cancelled last year and everybody knew about it in advance, including the Echo I presume.
