My guess for the summer! if Ladbrokes suspend all bets like it says in the title they will go broke.

Pardew and board to meet Thursday now...?
Window Cleaner replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Pardew won't get West Ham, Don"t know where that idea comes from. Grant or Bilic take your pick. -
I'd certainly leave out Huddlestone, from the little I've seen of Spurs last few matches I'd say he's the weak link in their side let alone England's.
-
that's more like it.
-
Because he used the Harry Redknapp guide to easy promotion from the Lower Leagues. Trouble is Harry can be (under the right conditions) a magician with a blend of experience and youth, Burley is just an idiot.
-
How about this for a devious scenario. Club builds up speculation about AP's future precisely by saying nothing because there's really nothing to say, pulls a programme with no explanation, rumours of sackings and meetings abound,Club announces everything rosy in the garden, AP confirmed for next season, ST sales announced, fans fall over themselves with delight and swamp SMS with ST requests, result ? 19000 or so STs sold in the first month.
-
Then one would have to look at the Chairman's comments page (if there is one) I suppose. Unless of course AP thought better of singling out his binkies for special praise as if the rest of the team didn't count.

Norwich signed a lot of players last summer, unfortunately Gunn didn't know what to do with them, Lambert obviously did. I think they had virtually a whole new defence, a loan keeper and Holt was definitely signed only last summer. No idea what they spent but doubt if it was very much.
-
Lallana is on a Rupert Lowe style contract I think. It was reported last season that he got quite a lot for each goal scored. I think £3000 might have been mentioned but that's probably not quite right.
-
Lallana played 56 matches this season, how many did Armstrong play in ? all the stats are modified this season due to the staggering number of games we've actually played.
-
Now we know who is in the Playoffs, who do you want to go up?
Window Cleaner replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Who honestly cares, we should be in the play-offs but we aren't so to me it just doesn't matter who wins, who loses. There will still be good teams, bad teams and teams we have problems with in the League next season. -
if that was the case the programmes would have sold like hot cakes at 15£ each. I bet if I saw it I could tell you what was wrong with it, I have a very acute eye for that sort of thing.

Bog standard fob off reply, don't know why he bothered

Au just Derry, what many cannot see (because it's hidden in the shadows of the JPT) is that our results didn't get much better as a result of a second splashing of the cash. They remained essentially the same (or ever so slightly worse than ) as those in October and November.
-
I doubt that, if any friction exists it's about money spent and results obtained. We are only top of our league in 1 respect, money spent and salarial mass.
-
It wasn't in the loft it was in the roof
-
for me that would depend on exactly how much more money he thinks he needs to get the job done. I think we've spent far more this season than the final product merits. If he is now saying (for example) that he needs to spend another 1.5 million on players and contract another 1 million a season on wages and bonuses then I"d tell him to get lost.
-
Injured apparently, sick last week, injured this week, not going his way just now is it.
-
I would think that they may feel that for their 4 million + funding for the team we should have obtained a bit more that 3 more points than Huddersfield,1 more than Swindon and less than Leeds,Millwall,Charlton and Norwich. If it was my money I'd certainly have been peeved if a better finish had been dangled in front of me to obtain it. I think the whole matter pivots around the 2 million or so £ provided to the manager for transfer fees in January plus the further half a million or so that we have paid the said players in wages and bonuses since then.
-
But he did win the election...in England, in fact the UK will now be possibly partially governed by separatists from various provinces who will no doubt profit from the situation to obtain outrageous amounts of money in various "development" packages for their scrawny (and costly) regions.I do not believe that the Conservatives and Democrats will reach an acceptable deal so Brown will continue to do his diabolical worst at the expense of the(English) taxpayer..
-
I keep hearing on Solent (well in the match commentaries) that James is out of contract this summer although he doesn't appear on any of the lists of out of contract players.
-
Well someone needs to post all of it up somewhere and I shall pass my only day off for this week in finding the 12 deliberate mistakes and circling them with my colouring pencils.
-
Mark Hughes suffered from all the players that were foisted onto him because the Sheikh Whatisname fancied splashing a shedload of cash to prove that he was the bee's danglers. He had players who had no real competence to play in the EPL, ball jugglers,pi*ss artists and one goal wonders. I saw an interview given by Torres the other day, he says that you have to be really apt to succeed in the EPL and that you need to count on a packet of injuries every season because of the pace and ferocity of the game. Wenger says it takes 18 months at least to adapt to the pace of the game.
