Oh so true. So many of the people on here are a disgrace to themselves and the club. I am glad that their Pardew-hatred is not shared by the wider fanbase. For everyone who blames Pardew for a lack of signings over the summer, surely they must realise it is not solely the manager who makes these decisions these days?

Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)

The trouble with you is your credibility ranking is zero and the vast majority of readers of this forum don't believe anything you say as you are an overly-opinionated piece of poo. Hope this helps explain why so many people are disregarding you. -

Far be it from me to question the almight Chuckle brothers, but I can nip this piece of lying from Steve Grant in the bud. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2051138,00.html The article is still very much on the website, in direct contrast to what Steve is trying to claim -
Glad to see the Football League seem to be doing better than the Premiership in terms of policing that odious cheating little club.

Just how/why did pre-season turn into such a shambles ?
Red and White Army replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
This. Derry has a huge chip on his shoulder for some reason, and he has lost any semblance of objectivity or fairness. -
I would be interested in seeing a poll on how many posters think we will get promoted this season.
-
How many people were calling for Pardews head after 3 or 4 games? Anyone? I remember Derry and Weston complaining about him in the close season but they were lone voices, not a majority Tactics, formations, playerselecion and subs are all highly subjective and no manager will ever please everyone. The vast majority of fans were behind pardew on Aug 29th which is why the sacking was a huge surprise.
-
Yep. The vast majority were happy with AP. As one of thE people who where not, what is the minimum Adkins needs to achieve?
-
What do the small minority who think sacking Pardew for Adkins was a good idea would be defined as a success at the end of the season?
-
Sacking Pardew without any explanation a day before the transfer window ended and after a storming away win was always going to alienate a large section of the fanbase. Pardew turned our season around and won us a cup. He was successful and well liked by the vast majority of fans. The lack of any explanation for his sacking by Cortese is unacceptable and I can't believe he is naive enough not to expect a backlash against the decision itself, the timing and the lack of explanation. If he was really surprised, he has no idea what he is doing.

Why the hell should Saints pay compensation to Scunny? Not sure what kind of world you guys live in. If another employer wants to sign me, all I have to do is resign from my job and start the new one - with appropriate notice. Why do you think football is any different? It is different for players, as the registration needs to be transferred from the FA but for managers, doctors, coaches etc there is no need to pay compensation to a previous employer if the employee resigns. If Adkins is refusing to resign, it seriously throws Cortese's competence into question. This should have been discussed in the interview and any problems ironed out before Adkins going back to Scunny. I said this was a cheap appointment and it is starting to look like it was being done on the cheap.

The only one who is a little lost is you sadly!
-
I am uninspired. If he does poorly, he will be fired. If he does well, he will be poached by a Premier League club when we're in the Championship. Why would he demonstrate any more loyalty to us than he has to the club that has made his career? Why did we get rid of Pardew? This is a cheap & highly risky appointment along the sides we have tried and failed at many times before. It might succeed - I hope it does! - but I can't in all honesty say I think firing Pardew and replacing with Adkins is a good move.
-
What a surprise. Alpine ignores anything that might lead him to challenge his world view. I see the OP posted at 7:44 and your well considered, deeply thought out reply was posted at 7:44. Nothing like taking to time to think about and evaluate a piece of news rather than giving us all the benefit of your opinion. Doubt you have ever seen Fonte play even.
-
You were the one slagging Pardew off for failing to address glaring deficiencies in the squad over the summer. Consistency was never your thing though was it? Moron.
-
Yep, they are unlisted so the stock market rules about disclosure do not apply to them.
-
Completely irrelevant. He can resign from Scunny without either side making it public anyway. Would be very underwhelmed if it is Adkins.
-
Me too, but he won't be managing Saints any time soon. We can dream, but it is more likely we'll get some no-mark manager :-(
-
Neither are you. Try going to some games and putting money into the club before criticizing those who do.
-
You have lost all credibility with your asinine assassination of Pardew.

Wilkins 'admits' management failure to make signings
Red and White Army replied to Professor's topic in The Saints
If truth had won he would have struck you dead a long time ago. How much of that was down to your bumchum Cortese I wonder? We were plenty capable of winning games last season with largely the same squad... the difference over the last couple of games has been no Alan Pardew. I could not agree more. This sacking was a terrible decision, and can only be mitigated by signing someone of the calibre of Martin O'Neill, which isn't going to happen in a month of Sundays. Unless there was some gross misconduct (which has to be worse then talking to Villa or ****ging someones wife!) then sacking Pardew at this stage of the season was a terrible mistake. Although I supported Cortese prior to this, I think this is his first major blunder and will cost our club the chance of automatic promotion this season.
-
In other words, they can behave like 99% of fans and support the team or they can behave like like alpine_saint and be completely useless whining *****es. Let's hope we just have the one alpine_saint, although that is already one too many.
-
What on earth makes people like you and that mong alpine_saint think it's ok to sack an employee for talking to someone else?! This isn't a police state, we're all free to talk to who we please and seek alternative employment too. How would people here think if they starting looking for other jobs and were then sacked because of that? Unjustified, no? Personally I don't think 't we could have credibly hung on to Pardew if Villa had come knocking... and if they had, surely it is better for them to pay us to take Pardew rather than us sack Pardew and have to pay him off? Try thinking before posting!

Please can someone post up Cortese's email address?
