  1. Never been either but they built down into the ground apparently They were talking about new stadiums on the radio the other day and someone from Sunderland FC was on and said that the stadium of light cost the owners (who are very rich) £10m or so from their own pockets after the sale of rocker park and obtaining bayous grants and regeneration money etc
  2. Better off doing the sun dream team.
  3. I had a pack of monster munch today Was really nice
  4. I remember the heady days of being seriously linked to Chris Bart-Williams I like the new saints
  5. I think over the season we will be more exciting and attacking than the other two that came up. But I do think we will get a few tonkings too. I still don't think we will finish above west ham. I think 16th will be us and that would be a good season
  6. Is wilshere even fit to play yet?
  7. Stadium of light cost the Sunderland owners £10m The rest came from regeneration grants and the like
  8. Yep, been open info for ages NC has been quite open that a final creditor is due around £5m on rerun to the premier league (when ever that would have been)
  9. Why do people get a hard on about how many tickets are sold. Or not. For friendlies Its like you constantly have something to prove to other fans
  10. Also done it at white hart lane for the last game of the season in 1998 MLT and klinsmann scored
  11. Done it at villa park about 10 years ago.
  12. Fanontheboard was a disaster at SFC
  13. Depends on the definition of poverty... Which is massively skewed in the UK
  14. What ever it is. People will moan
  15. LChez. Various times over the last year, half te fuking team have made a point about pre season being right this time You don't have to be anti pardew or a genius to know what they are getting at And no, under Adkins, lambert not only stepped up to the NPC, not only did he become te top scorer, he was voted the best player in the league So no, you don't counter the poor form the season before when the manager was not really there for the whole of it As for that pre season. As said, it has been mentioned so many times by people at the club that this time it was right.. Why was that? God knows. Maybe pardew cocked up, maybe he mis-judged it, maybe he never gave a hoot, maybe Adkins is light years ahead of him when it comes to preparation, maybe pardew knew his time was up and did not bother or maybe he took the wrong advice What ever happened, something went wrong as we were dire and had players not match fit as they should be for the start of the season. Contrast that to the season just gone and with largely the same players, we blew teams out of the water. Regardless of what went on in the north east
  16. I thought he lost his mojo as he was crocked pre season? He said as such himself
  17. I wonder now if QPR become all amazing if we don't agree a fee etc
  18. Agree. That was in a team set up for lambert Get the ball to him... Quickly and he would shoot on site IMO, he is far better as a player and for the team the way he is now than just being the target man with a great shot I can't really recall many shots he took outside of the area last season.
  19. Sorry, lambert is a miles better player now under Adkins than he ever was under pardew. Adkins took lambert to the level way above where he was when Nigel arrived
  20. See QPR have strengthened again on the right side of midfield. Although he an play anywhere in midfield, Park is a great signing by them
  21. why are we "desperate" for 2 keepers..?
  22. indeed...it just seemed that against any decent team in the NPC...be it, saints, west ham, brighton, leeds, burnley Reading conceded a hell of a great deal of chances against them..many, many being very clean cut.. it was not a skill of reading that we missed so many easy chances. or west ham missed so many chances, or leeds fluffed it or brighton missed a penalty etc they will simply not be able to carry that tactic on and hope they remain one of the most clinical teams in the prem maybe old Brian McD. will change that...which I'm sure he will as he is no mug
  23. why would he replace Fonte..? you seem to be throwing around a lot of "matter of fact"
  24. I just think their style will bite them in the arse.... they rarely dominated decent teams...sat back, allowed decent teams like brighton to have 20+ chances on goal and reading hitting them on the break and barely having 5 chances on goal... you simply cannot play that was in the premier league....
