  1. @SouthamptonFC: #SaintsFC striker Emmanuel Mayuka has joined French Ligue 1 side @FCSM_officiel on loan until 30th June 2014. http://t.co/8MAIDA7ee4
  2. @BenSmithBBC: Southampton have allowed Emmanuel Mayuka to join Sochaux on a season-long loan. Saints also trying to get a few more out
  3. As far as I'm aware, 1 more IS on their way in. Also passing on that Monk isn't able to post at the moment.
  4. He had a very good opening 2 games but struggled yesterday with the pace and closing down. Previous 2 teams were happy to stand off and allow him time, yet yesterday he panicked at times and misplaced some pretty simple passes. I agree, he is young and developing but I think he's worth no more than £8m.
  5. I think he's a good player, just we paid WELL over the odds for him. He is in there to be a bruiser and ball winner, £12m is a lot for that IMO.
  6. Judging by today, Victor Moses should really be a transfer target.
  7. If correct - 8 goals since January, 3 were penalties, 2 were free kicks, that leaves 3 from open play. Not good enough IMO from a striker. Just doesn't fit the system we now use unfortunately. 8 came in the first half of the season, 3 of those were penalties, so throughout the last campaign, Lambert scored 6 from open play ( 1 of the goals since Jan was WBA this season - ANOTHER PENALTY ). That means Jay scored the same amount from open play, playing from a wide left role, and playing less minutes than Lambert did. Surprising isn't it when you put some perspective on it?!
  8. I still maintain, Lambert is the root of all our problems. Poch is having a problem accomodating him. No doubting, he is a brilliant goalscorer, brilliant lad etc but if he wasnt in the England squad, would he really be in the team? His link up play is slow, his passes are often wayward, and by having to accomodate him, it is pushing him and others out of their natural position. He is causing square pegs in round holes e.g JWP having to play wide right, Ramirez having to play wide, Osvaldo having to drop deep rather than play on the shoulder. I am sure Pochettino's preferred XI is something like this That to me is alot stronger than the team we have played today and so far this season. We need to sort our attacking play out and I think that will only happen when Lambert is taken out of the team. Surely it isn't coincidence that Jay Rod started scoring regular goals when MP came in and Gaston was playing No. 10 and Lambert started to dry up. Jay and Osvaldo are the sort of players MP likes, Rickie unfortunately isn't.
  9. What I'd like to see http://footballformation.co.uk/team/4231/300813115620.png but agree with everyone else, would be foolish to drop JWP after his start to the season. Chambers has also done very well. Tough choice for MP tomorrow!
  10. Toni injured himself in the warm up on Saturday. Routine close kicking and just seemed to fall over in agony. Gazzaniga ran in to the changing rooms and next minute about 10 staff were out, Jesus, Miguel, Matt Radcliffe, club doctor etc. Don't know what he's done but he was on the floor for a while and Kelv took over the warmup. Next minute, he was helped in with the aid of Jesus and someone else. Couldn't tell who though? At the time it looked like he'd done his knee in but this to me looks like a broken leg or broken ankle / foot.
  11. Get through that tie and the next round could look pretty good. Potential for LOTS of all Prem ties. My prediction on teams to get through: Man Utd Posh West Ham Man City Nottm Forest SAINTS Arsenal Chelsea Stoke Watford Spurs Hull Leicester Swansea Fulham
  12. Cheers for those. Still better quality than Saints player.
  13. Great find! Makes me immensely proud to be a Saints fan at this moment in time!
  14. This one is working well enough for me?
  15. Team. ------------- Davis. Clyne. Maya. Hooiveld. Fox. Davis. Cork. Guly. Ramirez. Isgrove. Osvaldo. Bench ------------- Gazza. Stephens. Rodriguez. Turnbull. Chambers. Sinclair. Lambert.
  16. Star seem to think he's in http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/334825/Rickie-Lambert-poised-for-Roy-Hodgson-World-Cup-qualifier-nod?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+daily-star-football+%28Daily+Star+%3A%3A+Football+Feed%29
  17. I know absolutely sod all about the guy but For €3.5m euros, I'd take him as another winger to add to the group.
  18. I'm one of Jay's biggest fans but feel he was quite ineffective today. Did lots of running and closing down but had 2/3 very good chances to score but just wasn't at all clinical. Pochettino likes him because of his pace and directness out wide but I feel Lallana had an absolute storming second half and was unlucky to be dragged off. Ramirez looked extremely good however when he came on. A front four of: Ramirez - Lambert - Lallana Osvaldo does look pretty good but there is no doubt that Jay can fit into any of those positions so he is also a great option to have off the bench.
  19. Matt Radcliffe - Physio
  20. @John__Percy: Scott Sinclair update: loan move to #wba should finally be completed before weekend #mcfc
  21. Totally agree. I'm sure there is no way the club would give him a new 3 (?) year deal and then look to ship him out. Obviously had issues settling after the birth of his latest child so let the guy leave - he did his bit for us last season. Thanks for the efforts Punch in helping us stay up and helping yourself turn your career around. Best of luck at Palace.
  22. Is it a 6 month or season long deal?
  23. Post a photo of it and you may get some offers. Until that happens, expect nowt.
