Can't see him going in Jan. No chance if Fonte leaves. Would hope we can keep him beyond summer 2017 given the lengthy contract he's recently signed; but that's probably optimistic.

After the big fanfare over the summer, he came back and started the season horribly (which is understandable enough after missing the preaseason). He's got better but he hasn't particularly stood out, even among some very average team performances and a system that is very friendly to fullbacks. He's nowhere near Clyne.

Not sure rotation (or lack of it) has anything to do with results, especially as they got out of the gates so slowly. If it is an issue, it's more likely to manifest itself towards the end of the season when all squads tire. No the main reason, imo, is that Leicester is still struggling to adjust to winning the league, esp it is now a scalp for other teams. If Europe is a factor, it may be that the team finds easier to 'get up' for the CL.

Before you pat yourself on the back, just to remind you -as countless others have pointed out- that stat isnt particularly interesting or useful i.e. it says nothing about the type of shot/where and under how much pressure it was taken etc. You might want to read those posts before recycling a bland and rather uninteresting point.

For someone who slavishly bangs on about the role of luck, it doesn't strike you that our cup run may have been due to luck rather than than any underlying improvement? And citing the EL is a red herring: our progress has nothing to do with our performances or form this season.

The fact is that some players do play midweek and on the weekend; the problem is that they have different partners/teammates each time and have to adapt their game. Doubtless some players can take that in their stride, esp where the change in personnel isn't too great. Others, however, struggle. That does little for continuity and understanding.

Wrong again. If it was tactical, then it was a mistake. I'm pretty sure the tactic wasn't to draw or lose games but win them. We failed to score in half our games and were toothless in the vast majority of them- otherwise reliant on (dodgy) penalties, own goals, setpieces and token efforts. Unless you're claiming that was the tactic. If something isn't working, you change it. That's also called tactics

A positive reaction on Sunday against some peoples tip for relegation really doesn't make up for going out of Europe and a competition we're unlikely to enjoy again for years.

You really do get fixated by certain ideas and principles and have neither the flexibility or modesty to see beyond your earnest dogmatism. If you think luck is the main explanation of Leicester's success over a 38 game season, you really are deluded.

IIRC he scored a goal against in 13/14 season cutting inside from the left wing. Left JWP and Chambers for dead

We were generally poor against Liverpool -notwithstanding dullards favourite strawman that we would have been spanked if we had played anymore positively. IIRC Fonte also thought we played ****. It's not fun watching us this season: at least travelling around Europe made up for the monotony and lifelessness of our play...
