You were a mess last summer, more prone than most to hysteria and meltdown. Where's this new found stoicism come from?
-
Whose views are like a weathervane in a hurricane.
-
Everything I've seen of him suggests he can play off a Pelle-type target. Is pacey and has good movement but that's quite different from an attacking midfielder who can create chances.
-
As I said before, we could do with another midfielder in addition to a replacement for Morgan. That would replace the loss of Cork who the club had attempted to keep and explains the earlier interest in Vilhenna (regardless of Reed's partial emergence). Assuming he goes, Morgan will be such a big loss that the more bodies we have in that area, the better.
-
He's been most successful (relative term) when he's played further upfield as a CAM. He's played CM when we've been chasing a game; but it's very much a situational role. Points sbout Vilhenna and Cork's contract stand.
-
They cut in far less than those roles did under Poch and other systems that play 1 up front, with 3 behind.
-
Koeman seemingly doesn't have a problem as he was keen on Vilhenna. And it didn't seem an issue when we offered Cork a new contract. JWP is neither a replacement for Cork nor Morgan.
-
Wrong. They are very different players. A Spanish report earlier scotched, even mocked the idea that Juanmi was a wide player. Presumably, you've seen us play?Koeman's wide players tend to hug the touchline in the way that Jrod never did and quite different from a forward who's encouraged to cuts inside. We could do with another out-and-out winger with decent delivery.
-
We never replaced Cork, however much people rate Reed. If Morgan goes, we could arguably do with two CMs, as much for insurance purposes since filling the hole left by Morgan will be considerable.
-
Bunch of thick c**ts. They make Talksport sound like Radio 4.
-
You also suggested if the contract with us is no longer valid, he'll (probably) go wherever he's told to go.
-
Koeman said he's a utility defender and he's played LB in the past, though I don't know if its his best position. All I know is that there's a link between Bertrand's surgery and his arrival. Whether its specifically to beef the LB position or provide general defensive cover is anyone's guess.

Nonsense- Toby's decision will ultimately be decisive.
-
Will be disappointing if Targett isn't given a good stab at the starting berth. That is, it's his to lose.
-
Will we improve on last season this season?
-
Doesn't change my point. You've only served to reinforce it.
-
There's very little chance we would have got a player of Toby's calibre on a permanent last summer - the player, if anything, wouldnt have gone for it given the uncertainty at the club. He wanted regular football and exposure no strings attached; we gave it to him. As a short-term fix, it suited both parties; but it's largely irrelevant to negotiations in the here and now. The board can hardly be faulted. It's a slight shame that our footballing capital hasn't really gone up after two good seasons and our ability to retain and recruit top-quality players remains limited. On paper, the choice between us and spurs isn't as black and white as some of the other big-fish-eats-little-fish tussles we've been in. But let's see what the rest of the window holds.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but that's usually what happens with a player's highlights package.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

Even if he had more years on his contract, the premium for Europa League experience is a lot lower than of Champions League, given differences in stature between the two competitions. -
Times like this, don't you wish pap was around?

And several bruised toes.

Donny's second goal at SMS the season we went down (80th min goal to go 2up and put the game out of sight). The ugliness of that game and atmosphere still stick out six years on.
-
Fonte's header was the most important goal since administration IMO.

A terrible piece- the last thing Osvaldo is is a physical player who'd do well against the bigger sides. It's precisely why he struggled, something he admitted.
