Doesnt make sense. How can it be only 9 games since a defeat home or away?

He was pretty poor tuesday

Give the lad a break FFS - fair play for showing a bit of initiative that a lot of you sour, righteous c*nts don't. Someone calls him a donut for not pronouncing Lallana correctly. In response, the guy responds: "I can not help that! its annoying me that I have trouble pronouncing some words its because I have a learning dissability and a small speach problem hardly noticeable but doesnt cause me major problems just some of the word can be hard for me to say so no need to pick on my like that. Show some respect as i shew you respect" I've said my peace

He only went to Sunderland a year and a half ago - doesnt appear to have worked out for him (not helped by having a clueless manager) and been a bit of nomad ever since; so worth taking a punt and having a look. Remember not that long ago he was a rock for Sheff U, being linked with £4m moves to some pretty big sides.

Adkins and Crosby love their northern ilk

Looked a tad offside

Yeah the saw highlights on saints player- clearly hit the middle of the crossbar. No idea what the commentator was on.

There are battery operated devices on the market that emit a burst of ultrasonic sound that is inaudible to human but gives them a good scare. Can find them at B&Q for £20.

No- let the craggy-faced gypo decimate somebody else's wage structure.

Think the attitude thing is overstated. Adkins had Beckford at Scunny, knows him first hand and, if he we are seriously in for him, obviously believes he can manage his attuitude. Given the importance Adkins places on team spirit, he would not have overlooked the risks of a disruptive personality. Whether he's a good enough footballer as opposed to just a decent poacher is another question.

Think he's overrated - got pace but isn't clinical or skillful enough

Brighton's result bigger than our's last night?

Extended highlights now on Ipswich OS with the build-up our goals as well as the comedy of errors that was their 2nd. -

Not sure what else they can say -would you expect Nige saying anything different if we had been tonked? Every manager focuses on what his team's done or what it could have done differently - control the controllables and all that.

Not specifically football but sporting-wise Marcus Trescothick's autobio is a great read. Tony adams' autobio isn't bad either.

Guly? That's the third goal - we were 2 up at the time, right?

With pace, it would have been a cricket score - lost count of the number of times Cork dispossessed one of their players, broke, only to find our forwards struggling to keep up. I don't blame them - a large part of our success is the willingess of our forwards to track back and defend from the front and maintain that intensity over the course of 90 mins. But a bit of pace and a ball over the top and we would have murdered them. Even the Ipswich forum picked up on our relative lack of pace.

Lallana has been our best kept secret for a number of years. He was already our best player when we were relegated from the championship, though a few injuries here and there slowed the momentum and exposure he was getting. Lallana could have quite easily left at the beginning of the 09/10 season while the team and new ownership were trying to find their feet. As such, Pards has to take alot of credit -whether you rate him as a manager or not. Spoke very eloquently about the need for young players to taste success and win medals -regardless of the level, since those things make a career and stay with you in a way that warming a bench somewhere on megabucks will never.

Exactly- summed up by a great post-match interview. Like the obvious annoyance of giving up a clean sheet against Leeds and not converting more opportunities at Barnsley (both of which didn't matter in the end), they aren't satisfied and are hungry to improve. A sign of proper winners and professionals. -

Great performance -- still buzzing underlined by our five rapier-like finishes compared with their two streaky efforts. We showed real bottle to close the game, though we deserved to be 4-1 up and out of sight before they made things interesting - not just Lallana's shot that was cleared off the line; but also the cross that Lallana was within inches of glancing in; the keeper's sliced clearance that fell straight to one of our players just outside the 6 yard box etc etc. Also nice to see Morgan and Fox slot in seamlessly - our bench is looking pretty formidable. A few concerns, however. Our defense looked shaky at times, especially the left hand side (Seaborne and Harding). Specifically, the power of Scotland and Emmanuel-Thomas caused us problems. Some of this could be put down to the adrenaline and momentum of Ipswich pulling a goal back just after half time and the ebb-and-flow of an away game in the championship. But Ipswich also had their chances in the first half and its now 5 goals in 4 games. Ipswich aren't a bad side, so the scoreline definitely reflected our dominance, not their frailties. But lets be clear that their strengths lie in the final third not at the bacl. They lack two decent CBs and have long been looking to strengthen, bringing in Ingimarsson who then got injured. Along with Carlos Edwards at RB (!), they were poor at the back -and that clearly played into our hands. I've always thought that Saturday would be a morer revealing game than Ipswich. Millwall WILL get in our faces: they play a more L1 style of football, albeit with more pace and are resilient at the back. Other teams will no doubt be looking how we deal with quite a different style and learning... -

Agree you have a right to spend money how you want; but there's a difference between being lucky and deserving. Can't fault united in that respect.
