  1. The only Swansea supporters I saw were on our side. Having been there 7 years ago they knew how we felt. They told us to keep fighting if we want our club back because in the end we would win. They did warn us that the fight could take some time and to up the ante. A couple even marched with us.
  2. The march was brilliant and the behaviour impeccable. By the time we had reached the ground and finished we were in such high spirits that the atmosphere in the stadium had to be infected. A good game that could have been better but the team as a whole showed some fight. The first shot has been fired and now before the warm glow of satisfaction diminishes we have to get stage two prepared. I only took my 14 yo daughter this time but next intend to take the whole family. 7 of us. Well done to all organisers and thank you. You have given a lot of us hope.
  3. Last year when Pearson was appointed I wasn't on any Saints related sites. I was not for his appointment and even now I am not convinced that he could have done much this season. However , I do think he would have been far safer a risk than Jan and his jolly Dutch crew. NickG you say with reason that you don't think that the march, which I was part of yesterday, will work. In that case perhaps you could advise us as to how we procede with our fight. As you will have seen it was well publicised as will be the next move. So make your suggestion and make your own mark.
  4. No we wouldn't have demonstrated. Pearson had our backing and would probably have turned it round this season.
  5. Pathetic
  6. In a perfect world we will win on Tuesday and then pay back Watford in kind. However I have my doubts about our being able to do such at this moment in time. If LC had access to the sum needed he would have done it by now. Unless of course he is just postering for us the fans. The thing that puzzles me is this. If we are as close to administration as some would have us believe why aren't the shares moving. Surely the shareholders would be trying to unload before they lose their money. The protest was the first step and now the second has to be agreed upon in time for the preston game. I agree that protesting on its own won't achieve a lot. Maybe increase the size of the next if that were to be the decision. We need a good selection of alternative options quickly so time is available to set the choice in motion.
  7. Given a run he could actually improve a bit and be even better at both stopping opposition attacks and minding the kids.
  8. How about this for the Preston game.ST holders have already got their tickets but if the rest of us waited until the day to get our tickets as our next move it would alert the club as to the possibility of future losses. We start as yesterday at the bargate at 1.15 the same. We march with ,hopefully a slightly larger group to SMS. We hold our demonstration until 3pm and then go and buy our tickets. ST holders would obviously be able to go straight in. The delay in receiving our money would alert the bank to the possibility of a boycott and Saints inability to keep up with payments to them. We would be late entering the ground but whatever the score upon our entry we could really go for it and show the team that we are fully behind them.As there would already be loads of fans in the ground it would not mean the team playing in front of a tolly empty stand and would have some support. Our noisy imput would be like a shot in the arm and could give them one hell of a boost.
  9. A good day out with a superb atmosphere in the ground and the team actually showed some fight.

Even more interesting that a march comprising of less then (if I'm very generous) 10% of Saints supporters attending today suddenly becomes a majority in some peoples eyes. SOME PEOPLE DO OCCASSIONALLY SURPRISE ME WITH THEIR NEGATIVE STUPIDITY. NOBODY SAID THAT THE PROTESTERS WERE THE MAJORITY. 1500(POLICE AND TV ESTIMATE) PROTESTERS FROM NEARLY 15000 SAINTS FANS IN MY BOOK IS 10%. WE ARE TIRED OF WATCHING OUR CLUB BEING DISMANTLED BIT BY BIT. WE GOT OF OFF OUR COMFY CHAIRS WENT WITHOUT A DRINK AND STARTED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. YOU HIDE BEHIND YOUR COMPUTOR AFRAID TO BE SEEN SO THAT WHEN WE WIN THE FIGHT YOU CAN PRETEND UNDER ANOTHER NAME TO BE ONE OF US WHO ACHIEVED THE IMPOSSIBLE. YOU ARE A 100% COWARD. I WENT TO THE MARCH AND EVERYONE THERE ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE AND WILL STEP UP TO THE PLATE AGAIN WHEN NEEDED. NEXT TIME THERE WILL BE A BIGGER GROUNDSWELL OF SUPPORT. YOU WERE OBVIOUSLY ALREADY TUCKED UP NICE AND WARM AS WE APPROACHED THE STADIUM TO A WARM WELCOME FROM SAINTS, AND I MIGHT ADD, SWANSEA SUPPORTERS. AS A FIRST THROW OF THE DICE WE DID WELL. CONNOR, SMALL AS HE IS, HAS THE HEART OF A BIG BIG MAN.(he is only 16) SO PEOPLE LIKE YOU CAN SCOFF AT US BUT WE WERE NOT AFRAID TO BE SEEN AND COUNTED. WE DO NOT HIDE BEHIND THE SCREEN SPOUTING OUR RUBBISH. BUT THEN SADLY YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE JOY OF HAVING SO MANY FOLLOW YOUR LEAD. OR THE SATISFACTION THAT WILL COME WITH OUR VICTORY. 7 YEARS AGO IT WAS SWANSEA THAT DID WHAT WE HAVE BEGUN AND LOOK AT THEM NOW.
  11. If you are going to talk rubbish at least try to make your figures right. 2700 of the crowd were Swansea supporters. Or in your world them supporting their club away from home makes them Lowe Luvvies does it? GO BACK TO YOUR MASTER AND TELL HIM HE IS NO LONGER IN A POSITION OF DOMINANCE. WE ARE COMING FOR HIM AND HIS FRIENDS. WE WILL PREVAIL.
  12. I can say hand on heart that I was very proud to be part of such a well run protest. The atmosphere was good and the message loud and clear. The police were extremely helpful and the officer in charge took the time to talk to us. The escort was organised and the protest very peaceful. The chanting was loud but refrained from some of the abusive chants we have in our armoury. There was a good variety of age groups and a lot of parents with their kids. The behaviour of the protesters was impeccable. All police directions were followed without murmer. In between the chanting and singing their was a good feeling of cameraderie. The size of the protest was in itself justification of the organisers hopes. My 14yo daughter felt unsure at first but grew to enjoy the event. Reporting home to her who must be obeyed I was surprised to learn that if something else is planned we would be taking the whole family. She enjoyed the short bit of film shown by the echo and sky. We also showed that, as I had suggested would happen, the protesters finished the job at hand with no OTT abuse and then entered the stadium to give the team their full support. SO YES I AM REALLY PLEASED THAT I GOT OFF MY DERRIER AND DID SOMETHING. IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN WHAT WE WILL DO NEXT BUT I AM READY TO CONTINUE AND I THINK TODAYS PERFORMANCE WILL HELP MAKE US STRONGER. I think now is the time to plan the next move. Perhaps a new thread could be used to gather ideas whilst the events from today are still clear in our supporters eyes. We have done what we set out to do and told the board enough is enough. Their failure to listen must have response if needed. Hopefully the board will see the determination we have and will have noted that we can organise ourselves to act swiftly. Tuesday is to soon but we need to have a plan for the next home game.
  13. I was proud to stand with the rest of the marchers. Seeing the police and how well it was organised showed the doubting Thomases that we can get our message across and in a manner that befits our club.At the end the officer in charge was full of praise for the restraint shown by us and the peaceful way we behaved. NOW PERHAPS MORE WILL BELIEVE THAT WE CAN DIRECT OUR APPEAL IN A WAY THAT DOES NOT HARM OUR TEAM. I MUST THANK THE FEW SWANSEA SUPPORTERS WHO JOINED US IN GOOD HUMOUR ON THE WAY TO THE STADIUM. NOW WE NEED TO PLAN THE NEXT MOVE IN OUR FIGHT.
  14. It's actually 4 in 3 for super Saga.
  15. It was a good well behaved protest. A few of us arrived very early and as 1pm approached thought we would have but a few of us. From then on the crowd swelled noticeably and the officer in charge of our police escort was both helpful and cheerful. We started the march promptly at 1pm and followed the course laid down by the police. Everything was kept calm and we grew in numbers all the way to the stadium. As we walked down Britannia road we saw several fans cheering and waving. Walking paround to the front of the stadium the marchers were applauded by several fans. When we congregated outside the stadium a lot of the fans who had cheered us joined in the protest. What we will have achieved may not be a lot. As a first shot across the bows it may well have alerted our supporters that the time to fight has now arrived. My main concern is that whilst talking to other supporters I had several different reasons for joining in the march. Some thought removing Lowe would suffice. Others added Wilde and some the entire board. Not many had a decent suggestion as to who should run the club. I feel therefore, that we need to have this particular problem discussed if possible without abuse and the normal bad mouthing that appears most of the time. We need to be 100% certain of what our aims are in the short and long term. Figures up to a thousand have been quoted for the demonstration and this is encouraging. At this moment in time with the transfer window about to close may I suggest that we leave Wotte out of our sights. Even if we were able to get someone else we would be lumbered with the squad that we now have. Our target must be seen to be that of certain members of the board. The smaller the target the easier to aim directly at it. The easier to get the fanbase to understand and follow. We may or may not have achieved much but I am glad I went and gave my support against the Lowe bunch.
  16. Leaving now for our big day.
  17. I'd like to know which team will turn up. Norwich first or second half. Hoping it's the second half, I'll go for a narrow win.

The TEAM need our support like never before and you can bet the 3200 Swansea fans will be noisy. Perhaps a 'One Nathan Dyer' beforehand will get them on side and create a great atmosphere. Boy do we need to get behind them tomorrow. that sounds like a sensible plan! Agree wholeheartedly. Good post.
  19. I hope and pray.
  20. Has anyone an idea what is happening with Pulis?
  21. I know we need money but with swansea saying that they want him we should force the issue to our advantage. He has pace and seems to be improving. Bring him back as is our right and play him against Swansea. He could be the player we need for his position. If the Swans really want him they will offer us a better price. If they don't we play him and let him help us climb out of trouble in a better organised side.
  22. That would be the one to have a breakdown and not function as required.
  23. Beat me to it Ponty. Will we see someone else handed the armband though? If so who because not many candidates have got close to deserving it this season? Most good teams have more than one player capable of geeing up the rest when needed. Kelvin has been our best player by the prevebial mile.
  24. So the stayaway fans who despise Lowe and refuse to pay good money to watch the poor fare on offer are ok. As are the people sitting idly by watching our club die. If my wanting my children and theirs in future years to have our club to support makes me a lunatic so be it. I WOULD MUCH RATHER BE CLASSED AS A LUNATIC WHO CARED. THAN AN IDIOT WHO PREFERED TO SEE OUR CLUB DIE BEFORE HIS VERY EYES WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN PROFFESSING TO LOVE IT. OR IS THAT THE CRUX OF THE MATTER, YOU JUST DON'T CARE ENOUGH?
  25. With all our problems with backs I have often wondered why our reserve RB hasn't been given a chance. I feel with a back in situ James could do a better job in midfield if called upon. He isn't the best tackler in the world but he does tackle and has managed to win a few balls. Added to that having played RB all season so far he would be able to cover a fb run if necessary. He also knows how to whip a good cross into the box.
