For the first time I switched off when the second goal went in - just knew it was pointless from that point onwards, but of course in truth its been pointless putting any faith in this Saints team and coaching set-up for months and months. As someone has already said - I feel sadly despondent about the relegation which was inevitable. I got criticised months ago for suggesting the manner in which we play needed to change to turn fortunes around - remarkably it didn't change despite two Managers post-Ralph and that is a big mystery to me. Is there some master-plan that requires Managers and coaches to play in a certain manner or are the players just not good enough to enact the game plan? Or quite possibly both? I don't think anyone should be celebrating the possibility of more wins in the Championship provided by a new coach and team. Despite SR's insistence that there will be changes, improvement and presumably investment, I think we will struggle. Possibly flirt with relegation again. It's a very tough league to compete in, let alone mount a promotion challenge. It's going to take significant effort, skill and nouse to turn this club into a one that can win...let's face it who remembers what that looks and feels like?!? The only thing left to 'look forward to' now is the humiliation at the hands of Liverpool. If they're on their game we could be ending this dreadful season on the high of another 9-0 thrashing. COYR!

AMN is shite, magnified by a shite Manager who thinks playing him at LWB is a good idea!!! Forest must have not believed their luck, but they certainly took advantage! Selles is an absolute fraud.

Will hate seeing JWP playing for us still. He’s not got enough for the Championship. Absolute loser mentality and no grit whatsoever. A shadow of a player compared to the midfield (e.g. Spiderman) we had when challenging for promotion last time.

Outclassed by Forest. You know things are bad when you look at Forest team and think, mmm wouldn’t mind that guy in our team…he’s better than what we have.

I really do dislike everything JWP does apart from his freekicks on goal. Hugely overrated!

Even if that were true, we have a poor bench to pick from and a Manager who is inept enough to replace our best players with utter dross, thus effectively losing us the game. We’ll see.

Maybe he did. Personally I don’t believe him…this team don’t know how to sustain that form of play so would try to hang on for a draw or one goal lead!

We’ll not win this. So ponderously slow in attack, too wasteful with chances, too careless with passes. But most of all, Forest will still believe they can survive even with a draw and will provide a stiff defence which we will not be able to break down. Even if we dominate play, the first attack on the break will see us concede. We’ve all seen how this plays out time and time again, so there’ll be no surprises this evening. Nevertheless, COYS!

Our best hope for a win is for NF to only field 8 players. And even then we’d make hard work of it! 🤣

In terms of a club reset back in the Championship this deserves serious consideration. One of the reasons I’ve not been inclined to keep hold of my ST has been the awful atmosphere at SMS and unregulated away fans in home areas. Part of the issue with the atmosphere is the placement of the away fans - it’s just too easy for them to create their own intimidating atmosphere, sometimes making SMS feel like an away day! There are many possible solutions, however due to Police restrictions (apparently) it has to include the Northam end due to coach travel. The most sensible option then is to put them in the Kingsland/Northam corner or Itchen/Northam corner. I suspect ultimately though that the club just don’t give a monkeys toss as long as they’re getting the gate receipts.

There's nothing to suggest we'll win any more games this season - might get a lucky draw out of a game, but even that's unlikely given how fragile the team are. This really is the worst group of players, coaches and Manager in all my years as a Saints supporter. I think we'd lose to the relegated Sunderland side of a few years back and they were dire. I did actually have a small glimmer of hope 3-4 games back, but that's gone now. 2-0 Forest.

And todays lucky dip player selection is…WTF? I see JWP has made a miraculous recovery, bless. I doubt I’ll be watching…it’s just too painful. Can’t see anything other than a heavy defeat…who cares… let’s say 4-0. Respect to anyone travelling to watch the shit show that’ll be served up.
