LOL - indeed. Another interesting little clip. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/roberto-mancini-eyes-up-premier-1940296

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/11/roberto-mancini-galatasaray-parted-company Can't get my head around him coming here, but stranger things as they say...
-
Surely that article is a load of tosh - Utd are not allowed to approach Shaw with an offer until we give them permission right?!?!
-
Discussed on the other thread. Pointless?
-
You're right of course - there's nothing to say Koeman will last. I guess the big question right now is, can the Board get an inspiring managerial appointment across the line or will we see confirmation of the lack of ambition that many fear.
-
I think Koeman appears a better match, but Ranieri would on paper be an excellent appointment in terms of making a statement of intent. The only issue I have is that he has a history littered with short term appointments and I would like to see some managerial stability if that is atall possible.

Great post - better said than the OP article IMO and largely reflects how I feel - at the moment. Of course, the club have an opportunity to delight us now and show us exactly what course is to be plotted from this point forward. Fail and I dare say they'll become perfectly aware very quickly of how their 'customer base' feels.

Would not be very impressed to be honest. His track record in keeping his job is pretty poor, although how he got the sack at Monaco when he delivered great results (by their standards) is strange.

So who was Saints best ever penalty taker

MLT. Close the thread. (; -
It looks to me that Woy is getting the team to pass patiently until a true opening forms, but this relies on good fluidity of movement from all and this is an area of concern...they've not clicked yet, but if they do it could be good. Woy needs to get them pressing opposition more too. Unfortunately England don't do as well what Saints have done well over the last 2 years - if they did, there's enough quality in the side to go a long way in the tournament IMO.
-
No we don't - you simply cannot say that now that so much has changed. We've lost Lambert and Mopo/coaching staff who orchestrated every single performance. Our squad has been unsettled to a degree. Other teams have strengthened since the end of last season. Couple this with the fact that all teams start with zero points on day one of the new season and your statement is...well at best naïve.
-
Apparently we're in pole position for this guy... http://www.footballfancast.com/premiership/southampton/southampton-told-to-pay-8m-for-serie-a-ace

Who's main strengths - Lallana's or Lambert's? If you mean Lambert, then it's a mute point IMO - what if the new guy is more mobile and thus able to link up quicker and MORE effectively with Lallana AND J-Rod? I'm sure they will spend much time on the training ground sorting it out, but that assumes Lallana is still with us of course.
-
To be honest, the more time that passes, the less I am worried about Lallana. If Koeman is coming in I would have confidence in him re-building a damn good squad - one that would allow us to move on quite quickly.
-
Would be a great signing - worth £10m of anyone's money.
-
Wow - that's a pretty stunning quote right there - let's hope there's some fire with this smoke.
-
I agree - has to better than some of the inane drivel and petty insults being thrown around by the usual culprits right now.
-
There's something about Magath that doesn't sit well with me...it would erode my affinity with the club in a way. It's got to be Koeman in my opinion now and the Board need to get things moving so the repair process can start. And by repair, I mean repairing the trust of the fanbase Mr Krueger.

Chambers v Shaw - am I deluding myself...
Saint Fan CaM replied to Legod Second Coming's topic in The Saints
What a bonkers arguement...comparing one great Saints talent with another. Both have different attributes...we're fortunate to have both. -
Gotta say, for small crowd sounds like WC final!
-
Can we sign their no.15 please?!
-
Magath....no thanks!
-
Why do I feel so bitter sweet about a cracking goal from Lambert? LOL
-
Shaw not looking sharp enough...knocked off a few hundred thousand £'s his price tag. Milner is poor. Where's Lambert...is he playing? Rooney just terrible. Ox is looking good.
-
I would have to say there is some doubt over your ascertains that there would be no financial loss...depends who's interpretation of serious you wish to use?
