According to info I received today from someone at the awards dinner who discussed Mopo with a very reliable source, he's gone. Very disappointing if true - the new Board do not appear to be convincing key individuals that the 'new five year plan' is viable. #itshappeningbutnotasweexpected

Oh dear chaps - heard today from someone at the awards dinner (who heard first hand from an incredibly reliable source) that Adam is defo off. You're right Cortese was effectively forced out...he was offered the prospect of Freddy looking over his shoulder and reporting back to KL. Not exactly the environment he was used to or one in which he could deliver unhindered continued success. Wrong or right, Cortese was handed a poison chalice...we're starting to get a flavour of the new world offered to him...great front, poor delivery. Bit like the Lib Dems. (-;

See thats the issue right there. OK so he may get a CL medal, but how much would it mean to him? It would be 'won' without the people that have meant the most to him professioanlly over the last 5-8 years. The win for a club that means nothing to him other than a pay cheque. I don't know...perhaps Lallana is a heartless mercenary, but to be honest I never had him down as that type of bloke.
