I agree...he has acted disgracefully and with little thought to the fans who paid his wages and created the opportunities he's enjoying.

Bear, thank you...that is utter class!

While I know little of Immers, what I do know is that sometimes its best not to judge a player by the system and team mates he's been surrounded with. Sometimes a change is just what is needed to turn an average player into a great player and so I wouldn't be quite so hasty writing off the likes of Immers.

We signed two Koeman's, who the fook is Pochetino...Pochetino?!?

Fantastic appointment(s) - no wonder Les had a smirk on his face in the recent interview - he must have known it was a done deal. Whether it will work remains to be seen - it will largely depend on the players, their willingness to work with Ron and his team, and the Board's willingness to get deals done for new top level players - also ran's will not cut it now. Feeling very positive after reading Ron's biog on the OS which reveals some stuff I didn't realise already - this guy really has got a top CV!

Thing is though Lallana (and others in the Saints team) have been coached to place their bodies in the most optimal position to reduce the threat of a telling pass. Lallana has learnt that well whereas Rooney has no clue whatsoever. Not saying Rooney is a bad player, just that it's increasingly difficult to see where he fits into this squad.

Poor. And watching Costa this evening, I wouldn't be betting on an England win in the next two games either. We are just too damn pedestrian.
-
Hugely overrated and a horrible player. Don't want him in a Saints shirt.
-
Oh dear...looks like Woy has reverted to type and chickened out at the last.
-
Costa Ricas Campbell would be a great signing.

Crazy I know, but I would love Lambert to come on as the game looks like going to a score draw and belt in a winner. Still think of him as a Saint and still will until he returns from the WC. Alternatively, it would be fantastic to see Lallana score in his first competitive England game - don't care if he's off...still would have done it as a Saint.

Have you been asleep this last month?!

Well if it's true this could be excellent news...Koeman is a top appointment for Saints. I wonder what Lallana will say when he's asked about it? As team Captain and a key England player in Brazil, surely he will be asked his opinion?

Sneering is the life-blood of this forum...the patient is too ill for a transfusion.

The Echo - how much lower can they stoop?

Yes absolutely this. Although a small percentage of people will pay for extreme tittle tattle and dirt. Keeps the Sun in business. -
LOL - indeed. Another interesting little clip. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/roberto-mancini-eyes-up-premier-1940296

Surely that article is a load of tosh - Utd are not allowed to approach Shaw with an offer until we give them permission right?!?!
-
Discussed on the other thread. Pointless?
-
You're right of course - there's nothing to say Koeman will last. I guess the big question right now is, can the Board get an inspiring managerial appointment across the line or will we see confirmation of the lack of ambition that many fear.
-
I think Koeman appears a better match, but Ranieri would on paper be an excellent appointment in terms of making a statement of intent. The only issue I have is that he has a history littered with short term appointments and I would like to see some managerial stability if that is atall possible.

Great post - better said than the OP article IMO and largely reflects how I feel - at the moment. Of course, the club have an opportunity to delight us now and show us exactly what course is to be plotted from this point forward. Fail and I dare say they'll become perfectly aware very quickly of how their 'customer base' feels.
