Paid £695 this season - if it goes above £700 in this economic climate I will have to seriously consider chucking in the towel. I would be gutted though - waited so many years to get a decent ST seat and to be priced out now would really hack me off. Suppose I could move seat to the riff-raff sections.

SRL is a great player - iconic for Saints etc, and yes he's got more playing time for us. However, I don't think he will be playing for us to an age similar to Sheringham - not in the Prem anyway. He's only going to get slower and this team is mostly pedestrian as it is. In the Prem our front line needs to be lightening quick and accurate to beat the top defenders and achieve the dizzy heights of mid-table safety - I'm not sure (despite his attributes) he will feature in the team make-up in 2 years time let alone beyond that.
