The Southampton Way - Where is it heading? During our rise under the Liebheer scheme; one thing that has personally made all the success just that extra bit sweet has been the fact we have maintained a heavy English basis of players. The clubs academy programme and reputation is held in very high regard around the world and was heavily involved with the England DNA process. The club have brought in ten first team players since Koeman's arrival (two of which have been English Forster/Bertrand and Long being homegrown) with two deals potentially to be concluded in the coming days also being foreign. So; 1: Is it possible for a club to break in to the top four with a team of predominately English players? If not why? 2: As a Saints fan, is our intake of foreign players: a) Saints being proactive and using the market cleverly for value? or b) Saints losing their identity? Before you answer this, consider your opinions (if you have any) if a PL team like Chelsea did, regularly field a starting eleven without English players?

Saints have been given a new valuation by Atletico's Cerezo Torres of €16m. Two members of staff are heading out to Spain to attempt to finalise the deal. Saints are very unhappy at how Atleti have played this but won't say anything to damage relations.

Anybody able to help, when using Outlook online via Google Chrome, I cannot add attachments recently, any idea why or how to change?

Any ideas on new announcements regarding FM16?

Never looked like doing that for us, what a run

Dawn French - lovely, really funny in person, was genuinely taken back that I was a fan of Vicar of Dibley and was 18 at the time. Serge (Kasabian) - Proper hectic bloke, good laugh, seemed like he was high as ****. Ian Holloway - Met him at the Solent Hotel, smiled at him in reception which he replied "I'm not signing anything". Told him he was no better than a Sunday league manager. Saints then knocked them out the cup that weekend. Had breakfast with the Newcastle backroom staff at work when Pardew was manager before their game at Stoke, some interesting stories about Cortese! Carver was very chatty and offered some advice around coaching.

"Could be worse, we could be Pompey" or "At least we didn't go down."

Interesting point.

Speaking figuratively, you and I both know that 'playing' when it comes to FM means a good 4/5 hours. Every time I've tried to play it, the first forty minutes just doesn't feel right.

Breaks my heart, still haven't sat and played this yet, just don't like what they've done to it .

Saints considering Micah Richards if they lose Clyne in the summer
Monk replied to Saint IQ's topic in The Saints
Defensively struggled at times with Bertrand but looked very good when attacking, especially in first half. Reminds me of where Clyne was two seasons ago. -

Like him but would rather see Trippier. -
Important three points. Gutted for FF, yet still irritated that his decision making (or lack off) lead to the injury. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery. Superb from Kelvin and Vic was superb when he came on.

Defender has his back to play on the edge of his defensive box un-opposed, goalkeeper should and must be giving information.
-
Ryan Bertrand signaled and called for Fraser to come and collect at the edge of the box, he delayed and delayed and that then invited the back pass. Its not the first time Fraser hasn't collect the ball when he should have done. Gutted with the injury but his decision making has stitched himself up there.

I'm sorry but that is stupid decision making from Fraser Forster and that injury could and should have been avoided!!!!!
-
Great point, we looked fantastic in the first half, really thought if we could carry that tempo up we would win. Still gutted Tadic didnt let fire when in the box (great feet by the way). Fraser and the back four, amazing. Concerned with JWP and F.Djuricic when they came on (benefit of the doubt as that wasnt the easiest of games to come into.)

Final is over two legs. Spurs and Chelsea are playing in the FA Youth Cup this was the U21 Premier League Cup.

How well is Sam Gallagher playing then!

Hold my hands up, four months ago I along with other criticized him heavily. He really has stepped up and pushed on.
