More to the point Nick, isn't it great to see: 1. PACE 2. Confidence 3. Belief. All three have been missing for so long. Last night's goals showed quick intelligent football thinking. It's probably always been there in some of the players but it's taken decent management to realise it. And then there are the quality players we have been allowed to bring in - at last!!!!

Only if Pardew learned nothing from it. If we went through a season and only ever got things right, what would we have learned about the players, the squad, the areas for improvement. To be fair to Pardew, he can't also know that Gobern will come on and play like a tart.
