But all three goals would have been stopped by a defender doing what it says in the first line of every fecking training manual - STAYING GOAL SIDE... This was a lesson in complacency. Pardew even warned of it against Charlton. Too many fancy dan performances I'm afraid.

Bang on. All we can do is win every game. In some games we might gain nothing on a team above us, in others we will leap if they fail (particularly of course this will happen if we beat that team). A run of wins from now until Christmas could see us bordering the top six easily and from there nothing is impossible!
