  1. Doesn't bother me. I'm only coming to the United cup game next season anyway.
  2. Did you ever play Revolver backwards? It was there. Skyplus it and play back at three times speed...
  3. With Tories you know where you stand. Rich, greedy bastewards and proud of it. Whereas Labour? Slimy money grabbing bastewards who spout the opposite. Hypocritical to55ers the lot. Fooled the paying public into believing they care but really: Taking bungs off F1 moguls and delaying the tobacco sponsorship ban Taking bungs off people for gongs Taking bungs off the tax-payer to live with their 'sister'... Give me an honest con any day. Despicable bunch.
  4. I think professional sportspeople are dedicated and do whatever is necessary to be at the top of their game for as long as possible. They eat a professional athlete's diet. They drink in moderation. They stay fit and sharp. But, like wide-mouth frogs, you don't see many professional footballers around Southampton do you??
  5. I think a Christmas party when you are league and European champions is fair enough. It was Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes I had in mind rather than a youth team player out of his depth. If only we had players with a fraction of their dedication and sense of duty. Our mob dont' deserve a Christmas card let alone a party... I see Wotte says 'the agression comes from other people, never my players'... Ain't that the truth.
  6. Do you think the Manchester United team go out drinking/partying regularly during the season? Or do you think that they think like athletes and that's why they're at the top of their game and we're frankly shambolic...
  7. Exactly, I run a business and try to borrow nothing but my mortgage(s) against which I could have secured sensible business debt. But some morons who have never done a real day's work in their life, firk my business plan because they bought some third-world mortgage without ever checking what they were buying, oh and were paid a million-dollar bonus for the privelege. And unlike the Murphy's I'm bitter as hell!!!!!
  8. No, it's down to wholesale incompetence and greed. The buying and selling of debt is one way of making money. The buying of bad debt, wrapping it in gold foil and telling people it's good debt is tantamount to fraud and I hope every miserable banker who was responsible for misleading other myopic bankers, suffers as a result. Even Standard Life - that bastion of good faith - misled investors as to the security of their 'cash funds' which were invested in leveraged debt!!!! But above all, financial regulators and governments across the world simply fell asleep at the wheel. If something looks too good to be true, it is. And who pays the price? You and me.
  9. Tha article is wrong on several counts. Prime among them being that the penny has dropped after Xmas. It has not. Hence we have a man with Cameron Diaz hairstyle, and sadly her football management ability too, in the dugout. While people like Dowie, Boothroyd, Holloway, Adams and more sit at home and watch us go down faster than a holed u-boat...
  10. Whereas we pick people who aren't proven on EARTH. And guess what? It is ending in tears...
  11. ".... B R E A K I N G.... N E W S.... C H E L S E A ... A P P O I N T... D U T C H... M A N A G E R...." Ah, they didn't copy us, they appointed a PROVEN Dutch manager... doh...
  12. Hiddink Chocolate sprinkles Oranjeboom Orange Dykes Windmills Tulips Clogs Spliffs Hookers in windows Caravans Advocaat Canals Dutch ovens Anne Frank's Diary Van Dyke Eye Level The girl with the pearl ear-ring Van der Valk Hookers not in windows Vincent van Gogh Spyker Van Persie Van Helsing Vanwall Transit vans... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH When will they bring a web-site back and ditch Pravda/TASS/Taste of China... oh no that's my local chinky... oops.
  13. Slightly off-t but I love the fact that Chelsea: Sacked Jose with a win-ratio of 71% Sacked Grant with a win ratio of 67% Sacked Big Phil after his 36 games including 20 wins and 11 draws... Kind of puts our standards into perspective I'm afraid....
  14. top class... get your coat!
  15. Oh, did you not mean Grizzly?? I retract it all...
  16. Was there anything else on the page, sorry?
  17. Does he really have the nous to manage? Seems like a decent bloke but being a good defender qualifies him to manage how exactly?
  18. You're clueless if you have no idea how retaliation and retribution works. What works is having standards and abiding by them and punishing those who don't. Someone screamed abuse at a player (allgedly), they hit him (allegedly). Get it? Violence proliferates.... so if you blind me in one eye, you'll be blind in both.
  19. Sad state of affairs when poor behaviour sanctions poor behaviour. That's how the world gets worse not better.
  20. If they stay up it was still an idiotic decision because of the timing. What did they learn in a game against the league leaders when they backed the manager in two previous weeks during which an alternative manager might have had the opportunity to reshape the team as needed (and by the way in which they performed far worse than on Saturday)? I understand the demands in football are high and the necessity to survive in the top league is beyond most 'normal' business survival models. But, there is so rarely a strategy or plan in place which a board sticks to with any conviction. Even our strategy under Lowe has gone totally out of the water in recent weeks despite his lauding it to the hilt. And the boards go on unreproached. Nowhere else would this level of incompetence be accepted, why football?
  21. The sacking of Tony Adams after losing to the league leaders and at the END of the transfer window during which he has been allowed to sign players and complete contracts on existing players, demonstrates once again that the vast majority of football chairmen are inept. That our own falls into this catergory should not really surprise us, should it? It would be more surprising if he weren't an idiot, in my view. Which raises a question that has always bugged me: Why do normally proficient business-people throw all good practice and common sense out of the window when it comes to football?
  22. Am I the only one who thinks WGS was hopeless for us based on his time at Coventry??
  23. You have my sympathy son, but I can't be the only one to find that mildly amusing given your username!!!!!!
  24. Sorry DD, I think if the current fans were back in that stadium people would still be saying the same. It's a facet of having a large ground that is not remotely imposing on any opposition team.
