F u c k off wotte!
-
I don't think personally I would have been taking off our most in form striker or playing with so little width, but Wotte do I know.... I've only been watching football in this country for nearly 40 years, unlike our hockey-playing chairman and coffee drinking manager with a penchant for arrogance, chocolate sprinkles and caravans...

Leeds to see the outlaws too. Carlisle - that's one schlep tho... -
Good news, worst goal difference in the league.

Guys, You have to accept we are down, grieve accordingly and then just look forward. It is too panful otherwise. Just accept we have a local derby against Brighton to look forward to. -

Ah well, it's not the first time we've been f u c k ed on Valentine's day...

I don't want to sound like Captain Oats but I'm going to take the dog for a walk and I may be some time...

I know, never going to happen right?!!!

Ah, people will same the same about Beefy and Freddie but there are always exceptions to the rule, where genuis is concerned!

The reason it annoys me, is because this is the SAME pattern that afflicted this club in our previous relegation. No one learns from their mistakes. Players out boozing when we're sat on the precipice?? Managers claiming the unclaimable. WTF. When Wotte was appointed, there should have been a trench mentality. Keep your heads down, work harder, up the commitment levels, up the fitness levels, up the work ethic, up the overall standards and just hope that it is enough, just enough to survive. But no, we swan on like before. Claims of our ability which fly in the face of results. Boasts about potential... It's like listening to a child claiming they're innocent of the mars bar theft, when their face is covered in chocolate It's suicidal.

Not true. I think the guy is an eejit. But so I did about the ginger whinger, and a few wins and gutsy performances later I had shut the firk up.

This club puts too much effort into spin and not enough into football. It frustrates the hell out of me.

I believe that the best players are generally those that keep their noses clean. Funny how you don't see David Beckham on the lash, for example... but these journeymen are out and about tucking into their chips and curry sauce...

Nick, as you know I am one of life's hopeful optimists - hell, the missus even made me a hot-crossed bun this morning (although I think she's using this as an excuse for deriliction of duties later...) but I do feel my football team now 'owes me'. Which I've never felt before. I don't even blame the players. The enthusiasm and energy was there for all to see at the start of the season. But just as sure as when I bought my kids a dog, that excitement and passion soon waned when hard work set in. That's how kids are. That's how we all were. And only those who are genuinely destined for greatness can deliver at a young age with any consistency. The problem is that Lowe's vision/plan has been shown to be a busted flush. And probably one too far. The gulf between how we are playing and how we need to play for survival is there for all to see. The idea that we can double our wins within the 15 games left is just a bridge too far for me. We all know how this ends Nick. We get relegated - again. Wotte leaves. Lallana leaves and Surman, and Kelvin, and Saganowksi... and what are we left with??? To hope otherwise is to fly in the face of ALL the available evidence.

Shame he didn't get in, and maybe he would then have got out?

The early 80s?? They came to power in 79 with rubbish lying in the streets, black-outs because we had no power, three-day week and just about the most demoralising, depressing country a man can remember! Give 'em a chance. I loved Maggie. She could see we needed tough medicine and we took it. The problem was she broke the manufacturing heartland of this country along with the unions. But in truth, what exactly did we make that we could now be proud of?? We've proved the Japanese are better at building production cars in this country than we ever were!!! Which is a tragedy. We can build the best hand-made cars, boats or whatever, but we can't bolt an Allegro together... This country has lacked innovation and pride in manufacturing for years and I don't dispute the Tories did not help by considering it a kind of 'dirty work' - rather than celebrating and investing in our engineering, technology infrastructure. This is so wrong, when you think that of the grand tradition of engineers like Stephenson and Brunel. But doesn't this just reflect a cynicism in this country that prevents 'pride' in any job? And one of the reasons our club is in such a state.

No Nick, it would be better if he SHUT HIS MOUTH and delivered. Which is bizarrely the opposite of what every married man is hoping for on Valentine's day...

Oh dear, Comet saw you coming...

Survival Plan - A real vision to save Saints..?
Legod Third Coming replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
I have a survival plan. 1. Score more firking goals. 2. Concede fewer firking goals. Normally I charge £800-£1,200 a day for this kind of consultancy but for you, gratis. -
as long as he doesn't figure out heart to heart (hth)...

Great, now he's ITK - chump...

Whatever you say about the Tories, they took on a failing economy, three-day week, high unemployment and delivered ten years of prosperity, home-ownership, a few mine closures admittedly and that poll-tax fiasco, but otherwise not bad for the majority. And then Labour came in and delivered spin, red-tape, an illegal war, more borrowing than a man can shake a stick at and then finally a depression. Hmm, not sure I'd be voting them back in again... But you're right, ultimately it's a choice between Lowe and Lowe at the moment. If only there were another 100 Lib Dems like Vince Cable...
