I am really sick of the media love-affair with Man.Utd. Headlines everywhere - poor Sir Alex... will be without fullback Rafael - concussed v. Blackpool - last night. Can't play in the cup tie at ...L1 Southampton - AND ????..there'll just have to rely on the ref. giving them a soft penalty again -I suppose. It almost sounds as though they are preparing an excuse - if we pull off a shock win again. I can hear it now "the defence was unbalanced without their star defender- (*ull shi*) say I" This game, though exciting gets in the way of our promotion push and part of me wants to get it out of the way - but at the same time it makes my blood boil when there is so little given over to us having two midfielders out and another who doesn't want to be here - so much for media equality.

Difficult to say he is a better keeper, but I still think that Bart is worth a go. Not just because he's played the prev. FA Cup games either. Only the most avid fans amongst us (remembering 1963, 1964, 1976 etc,) expects us to win - even against Man.Utd RESERVES ..but the game isn't worth 3 points, and at this stage of the season I'd take them instead. Give Bart a chance. If he's any good at all ?..then what better chance to raise his game and show what he can do. every round is a lottery, and from here on in ..we want promotion . FULLSTOP .

Funny ..that's what I suggested 292 posts ago when I started this thread. Not a lot of people agree with us ...

NO... stop it ! I'm not being negative, ...but looking at the fixture list some of the higher placed teams have TWO games by next weekend and need only a few points to equal /go ahead of us in the table, whilst we have the diversion of playing Man.Utd. in the FA Cup. Of course - we can claim that we will have those league games in hand , but at present we have played 3 games more at home than away, so we must win 2 of 3 away games at least. Should be an interesting fortnight.

The whole "success" of the having (ex) Academy lads around is to get them familiarised with the first team environment, rather than playing alongside other juniors at the training ground. When they play alongside first-teamers in training, you have to feel like a team member - off the field as well. It's part of the "in-schooling " process for the newer lads.

Agreed - we should take the best offer we have and have him " out of the building " ASAP. A bad influence on team morale. If he had played today (as he can) he might have made a difference - without him AND Adam AND Dean H. we looked thin in midfield and that's the whole story.

Dunno .... maybe they are looking at the same stats. you are..? We've only lost 3 times when Lallana was playing. We failed to score in 8 games when he wasn't. Is that what you mean ?

as far as I understand it, we were lucky not to lose at home v.Notts County last Saturday... It's not the fact that we lost a game, but maybe that we've lost 5 out of the last 6 points ..without Adam Lallana .. ....or even scoring one goal. one sub.striker available. ..not a problem? Even ...if AL is fit again soon, it might not be his last injury problem, then we'll still have the same problem as we have today. No Lallana....No midfield. = No goals. This season so far, we've only failed to score 3 times when Lallana was playing, but didn't score in 8 of the games when he was injured.. surely that tells us something...?
