  1. haha yeh good old codfather. Yeh we had a talk via pm before I believe- you and my sister were in the same year at Wildern.
  2. Ha well I must admit when I say 'everyone' I base this on a couple of people I don't really know, perhaps a slightly sweeping assumption- no offence intended! I just know it being a Hedge Ender.
  3. A good point well made. Either way, there's no way that he should be able to get away with that. I guess we will never know if he'd have done it if he didn't know he could get away with it.
  4. So basically what you're saying, is that it's within the police's powers to kill someone who's walking away from them?
  5. Yes, by the letter of the law they should! Obviously in the milder cases, people do not press charges and therefore nobody gets prosecuted for it. But if someone pushes someone and they die, then they should be prosecuted. If you pushed someone tomorrow because they were squaring up to you and they fell over and died, you'd be going to prison.
  6. The linesman didn't die, did he? That was assault, not manslaughter.
  7. How can you say that pushing someone isn't a violent act?!?! That's ridiculous- of course it is! If they wanted to move him on, take him by the arm and march him away. Do not push him from behind when he has his hands in his pockets so he can neither see you coming nor adequately stop his fall. That was cowardly, idiotic and criminal. That policeman should be prosecuted. If someone starts a fight with me on Friday night and I push them, they fall over and smack their head on the pavement and die, I'm going to get prosecuted.
  8. In Pardew's interview he says 'Sutton will be the first time we really play full strength with both barrels loaded' so I'd expect it to be a pretty strong team.
  9. Ah right, sorry I didn't realise they no longer do food, never really eat in there to be fair.
  10. I agree. Don't really see why there was any need for it, and if he died as a result of being push, I don't see the defence.
  11. After all the fuss about having no sponsor I don't think i'll be sticking a couple of those hideous badges on my new kit!
  12. Good shout. Also, when AP says: I take that to include centre midfield.
  13. I'd definitely buy one
  14. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2098699,00.html Explains how we are still in the market for players, but won't be rushed into anything as we have a strong first eleven. Don't panic people, he knows what he's doing!
  15. Haha no way. Did u turn to drugs whilst there? I swear everyone who works there these days becomes a druggy.
  16. Rumour on 606 that we're in talks with Darius Henderson. Expect it's bull**** though.
  17. In terms of cm cover, I would guess that when Richardson is fit again, Butterfield may move above Wotton in the pecking order. However, I still think we need someone as good as if not better than Hammond and Morgan.
  18. I think we will probably win at home and lose away against Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday, like we did with Leeds last year. There are a lot of teams I'd expect us to beat both home and away, and none that I would expect to beat us at St Mary's. Obviously there will be slip ups along the way, but I think we'll clear 90.
  19. I hope noone has claimed a free under 8 ticket just for the hell of it or for some extra leg room. Anyone who has is a d*ck in my opinion.
  20. Worst toilet I've ever visited? Portsmouth.
  21. As in he came back to Southampton?
  22. I'm slightly concerned and I'm not one of those who thinks the sun shines from Cortese's arse- it is becoming apparent that this football club is out to make as much money as possible and build a business that's as much about corporate image as it is about football and the fans. However, I can't work out whether it is a good or bad thing that we will just never be a massive club. On the one hand, we could get to the premier league, have a great footballing side and an excellent infrastructure and it will still be 'our' club, i.e we won't have fans from all over the country claiming they support us like Chelski and Manure do, and therefore us loyal fans benefit (albeit paying more to watch the team.) On the other hand, we could build a business structure that matches those of the highest earners and biggest clubs, we could all pay more and have SFC marketed as more of a brand than a football team, and when it all goes wrong we could be left well and truly in the sh*t.
