Oh dear. Missing a penalty is indefensible at this level- Pelle should take them from now on. Tadic had a poor game in general. I don't really understand the decision to play Mane over Long either. On the plus side, great to have JWP back and putting in some great crosses.

I can't speak for others but I said 'Must win' to take the p*ss out of the people who over react to every loss/bit of bad news, as happens so often on this forum. So sorry it bothered you so much.

Watched the game in a pub in London. Unsurprisingly I was the only Saints fan there- other than my mate who was supporting us for the game- but not one of the United 'fans' was northern.

I think Long does exactly what we would expect from him. Mane on the other hand offers very little and consistently makes poor decisions. As much as I dislike him for his comments when he left? We could really do with Lallana at the moment!

We could really do with someone in the mould of Moussa Sissoko IMO.

The echo made me lol today. Front page: 'Are thieves targeting Saints players?' And back page 'Jack Cork out for 6 weeks'. Poor Cork's bound to get burgled if he's out for that long!

Fwiw I thought Long was outstanding last night. Never stopped running and looked exhausted when he came off. He's got to play against the big teams just for his work ethic.

Definitely missing JWP in that department. Davis is our next best option though for sure.

Thing is though, on Monday he came steaming out and cost us a goal. Yesterday he decided against it and saved an almost certain goal. We can't really complain that he learnt from his mistake.

I think we probably all agree that either Cork or Davis should come in for Mane or Long and revert to the shape that has served us so well so far. Main question is, which one comes in and which goes out. If Davis is fit, I think it's got to be him and in this game I would start Long (offers more defensively) with Mane as an impact sub. Forster, Clyne Fonte Alderweireld Bertrand, Wanyama Schniederlin Davis, Long Pelle Tadic

Lol. 1 bad game and he's a terrible signing. I guess you didn't see him score the only goal against Stoke? Yes he has missed a couple of chances but to compare him to Ali Dia is just ridiculous. FWIW I don't think playing him, Long and Tadic is going to work. We need one of Long or Mane on the bench to change things up.
