Agreed - him and Connolly made all the difference in the second half.

I'll be there as usual. There is a great atmosphere at SMS again these days. If anyone is contemplating going but hasn't, buy a ticket you won't regret it. (For David - no I'm not the original of course but it's good to celebrate some less well remembered players. )
-
Well done guys - a great afternoon. We can beat anyone in this League now.
-
Is there a connection between finding football related violence distasteful and the Telegraph then? I don't see your point.
-
If it was down to me, I'd be dishing out warnings or bans to anyone on this forum who condones any sort of football violence. FWIW I saw pretty much the same as Fitzhugh Fella as I was crossing the road outside the Alfred. One of the Yeovil fans who'd got over the fence was hauled back in by someone who had him on a headlock. I also noticed the policemen who seemed in no hurry to get to the pub.

David would have made a good WW1 general - leading from the rear. Only joking David.

May I suggest Ryanair who fly from two airports in the Stockholm area? http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/[/url]

Maybe it's the way some of them leave the country, moaning that the UK is going to the dogs and that the grass is a lot greener in Austria and that watching football there is so much cheaper.

Thanks for the report FF. Doesn't sound good I must admit. I think our frailties were also evident in the Millwall match but there were some green shoots there in Harding, Murty and even Saga who looked enthusiastic to me. No doubt we're in need of some more fresh blood. The only thing that made me smile was your last sentence Duncan where you perhaps subconsciously seem to still be blaming the duckhunter for our woes. Still it can only get better and I'm certainly not regretting buying a Season Ticket.

Great post and as you say Sue, it's all about Saints being part of the community. The quality isn't the main thing and the cost of helping the ladies team need not be great. One of the big expenses running a club is the cost of hiring training and match grounds. Saints have an underused facility at Staplewood that would be ideal.

Hi Fred, how's Wilma? Does Barney still live next door?
-
LOL at all the usual suspects writing off women's football just because it isn't up to Saints high standard. By the same logic Premier League team supporters would question the sanity of anyone paying to go to SMS to watch football. Would they be right?
-
Thanks for that - I saw the name in the Echo article: Seymour Pierce were of course trying to sell the club a couple of years ago. Is any more known about Worldwide Financial?
-
Not sure what you mean derry - who are 'they'? I thought the Swiss were the bunch nearing completion. Who's likely to beat them?
-
Is that the client who had the money and then dropped out or the client who pretended he had the money but forgot he owed his Mum two months board and lodging?
-
More irony right?

Hopefully Fry will have learnt a lesson from this debacle. From now on he should insist on direct communication from the individual who is putting up funds for any deal ie the organ grinder and not his monkey. It seems all too easy for some wannabe to get proof of funds from a supposed backer and then to continue his bid long after the backers have fallen by the wayside. Fry's failure to keep his eye on the ball in this regard could have cost us a football club (and the creditors the best deal). Why did he allow an exclusivity deal to be signed by a middleman with some-one else's (probably Leon's) money?

This is getting very incestuous isn't it. Two questions OSM: 1. Are you really Mary Corbett's nephew? 2. Do you really believe GM is a genuine social pal of Lowe's?
-
You saved me a post (nearly).
-
Anyone seen or heard from GM today? H e l p !!! L y n a m H a S a g u n a t M y h e a d
-
I must say I rather preferred GMs 'Spirit of Reconciliation' between all Saints fans thread a few months back which I'm sure was equally heartfelt.
-
So no more Frank Carson or Dustbin Lid Jokes then unless the bid fails? Still you weren't the only doubtful old duffer GM: http://thejc.com/articles/jewish-property-man-fronts-bid-buy-southampton-fc

I though Micky Fialka looked familiar - The Apprentice right?
-
Who is Micheal Fialka, the propective new owner
lenwilkins replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
It is a matter of record whether he is a Director or not and I'd bet good money that GM has checked his facts. If Mr Fialka is prepared to risk another buyer stepping in because the FL won't let him appeal a decision that Saints will lose anyway, which is what I understood him to say, this deal isn't going to happen. -
Fialka made it quite clear on Sky that the sticking point is the right to appeal the 10 point deduction and he was willing to risk someone else stepping in to buy the club. As we were never likely to win an appeal the whole thing doesn't add up to me. Has he actually got the money?
