Well I couldn't see any deliberately attempt to kick it out so I agree.
-
Yep, you only have to look at our goal difference to see that defensively we have been quite good and now getting a whole lot better and that our real problem is going forward. Still the priority in our position is to limit the opportunities for the teams we play and hopefully the rest will come as they work on things in training. Defensively we must now be the strongest in the league which makes a great base on which to build.

But you don't want him in the middle of the pitch either to play a knock and run with and safe in the knowledge he will fill in behind you. That is the point I think Eurosaint was making not to mention the space that Yeovil could exploit unchallenged in front of Harding. Lallana drifts in to far to the centre playing on the left or right.
-
I agree and although Lallana did have a better game as regards his overall contribution he goes looking for the ball like a 10 year old at times and needs to make himself more available in wide positions. We are still failing to get in crosses from wde positions in open play and invariably a player from wide positions is cutting in and running square across the front of the 18 yard box and into a cul-de-sac of trouble.

Apparently on a clear day and with some good binos you can stand on the top of Great Gable and watch the game for free.
-
IMO that reflects more poorly on the fans than the chairman and is being replicated by our cousins down the road. Withdrawing your support over personalties and depriving the club of income will only result in grief and hardship.

Very encouraging but could have done without the boat show or the dumping of student clearance at their Solent unversity halls of residence. Traffic from Chilworth roundabout and down the avenue was worse than the Premiership days except every other car had a duvet and poster of a tennis player scatching her backside instead of a Saints sticker. At this rate I am going to have to switch off Jeff Stelling and the boys a lot earlier than I have been doing as I missed the first 10 minutes and that hasn't happened since some night game in the Premiership a long time ago!

Robbie I talk about the current issues as I see fit and it's not my issue MLT has put himself under the spotlight. With regard to Lowe my opinions are never offered unsolicited as he is yesterday news but i am guilty for want of a better word for balancing historical debates when others bring his name up as the main architect of our down fall when there were many factors both individuals, groups and situations than each held a hammer and nails. If we treat Lowe as a scapegoat we will learn nothing of value from our past mistakes. Finally, I think my views of where we are now are positive and constructive and in fact more positive than those who considered yesterday to be a must win game as if we were 10 points from safety on the 19th March 2010. I don't think you read all my posts if you did you would see whilst I have been deeply sadden by the evenst of the last year I now feel very positive and upbeat about the new direction and policies on and off the pitch.

Would you like to bid for my season tickets? Make me an offer I can't refuse -it will need to be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds to get close to an amount that will lure me away for this season and in the millions for life.

No one player in bigger than the club and neither for that matter are chairmen, manager's or overly protective fans. I'll support this club till the day I die thank you but always with both eyes open and an enquiring mind to ensure the level of loyal support they enjoy and in some cases worshiped and revered is respected. MLT's silence is not reciprocating that respect and for me until I understand his reasons behind some of his recent 'errors of judgement' then I won't, how can I say, be sending him any email tributes about how wonderful he is? Mick Channon was my boyhood hero and what he has gone on to acheive before and since he remains my ultimate sporting legend, a true Hampshire gent.

Do you write jokes for 'entertainers' like Mike Osman, Chubby Brown and Stan Boardman? Boring, repetitive and unfunny.

I am not supporting the unpopular merely asking questions about those with high reputations and past glories who some believe as a result are beyond reproach. Some fans unfortunately don't want their fantasy world rocked and try their best to ignore any subequent misdemeanours. However, it doesn't work like that in the outside world and MLT needs to account for his actions whatever the real story behind the betting scam and whilst he is at it lets hear the real story behind Pinnacle. He is still mates with Lynam and they have subsequently enjoyed a game of 'it's all for charity' golf which is good news but I don't see many on here with the faith in Lyman but he hasn't written a book called 'Taking Le Tiss' about his loyal playing days as a legend at SFC.
-
Must admit I have been a fierce critic of Lallana this season but I thought he had a better game today (still not great but better) but as you say he is poor at getting forward and providing some width, support and delivery to the forwards. If Papa playing means a bit part role for Saganowski then I'm happy as for all his improved effort and industry today he has been poor for us for 2 seasons and if he can get in the Polish squad then no wonder they won't qualify for the World Cup.

Was it David Bentley? Or was he the catalyst for the abolition of the Death Penalty as he was the last person to pay the ultimate price for a crime he didn't commit. Don't we still technically have the death penalty for Treason or was that abolished as well in the past few years - i can vaguely remember something about it being discussed in the media a while back but not sure what happened.
-
Fair assessment and as I said he was probably a bit 'hyped up' when he came on looking like a tightly coiled spring. When he settles into it and gets a few games under his belt I'm sure the promise will shine through.

You may need to change your location.

Jonny but hasn't it been proven that the game in question was not televised live and so the spread firms would not have offered that bet as they only did it at the time on live televised games. So why lie about a betting scam? To ramp up sales? Failed IMO. To make the book more 'interesting'? Failed IMO. To play up the whole Taking Le Tiss' angle? Probably achieved but not as intended IMO. I'm as over the top as MLT has gone to ground about the whole affair and I think a frank explanation and apology in either event truth or lie is required. An auto-biography is not supposed to be a work of fiction whereas events can be embellished with the mists of time this you must admit is some embellishment if not true as alleged by the fact the game was not live on TV.

Good evening Greg, who are you referring to as pudenda? That's from the latin pudeo (be ashamed). Please don't be.
-
I agreee it's a sad state of affairs that only the club and police can address together and for the club to dish out punishments to those at the game and for the police to deal with the rest. If some type of warning/points system doesn't work then just go zero-tolerance and life bans. The trouble with issuing warnings some of these morons will see it as a girl guide collects badges. I'm no expert in these matters or know how often the club meet with the police but I am sure doing nothing or maintaining their current policy is not an option because as you say it's getting worse.
-
Absolutely, and in the past I think the club have been woeful in accepting some reponsibility for the actions of their customers after the game and off their premises. I hope this changes and their meetings with the police actually do something positive and not just leave it to the police, although as you allude to some of these idiots may not even be at the game but busy sniffing the barmaids apron for some big mouth 'courage'.
-
So saying he looks a far better prospect as a partner for Lambert than Saganowski is slating him is it? Or we're you talking about the linesman as he has a good game to.
-
Seemed to occur about 3 rows in front of me as well, bizarre.
-
+1 - but we should empathise with our neighbours and hope they stay in the Championship long enough for us to give them a game in the 2011 - 2012 Season.
-
You are Micky but on this occassion you are 100% wrong!
-
Absolutely and the one where Papa was flagged offside when he reached the ball in the chapel/itchen corner it was when the ball was played though he was miles off half way inside their half but his pace got him to the ball in the corner. To be fair the lino didn't give it because he couldn't be sure Papa was interfering or a Yeovil player would reach it first. When he made it the lino had no choice and to a chorus of abuse for one of many obvious decisions.
